“Here’s my resignation letter!”

“Taehyun, Love, please don’t—”

“Shut the fuck up!” Taehyun snapped and pushed Beomgyu away after he wanted to hug him. “What the fuck is wrong with you!? Huh!? Why are you doing this!? Do you pity me that much, huh!? Why are you always doing this to me!? Why!?” he raved.

“T-Taehyun… I-I… Please understand me,” Beomgyu pleaded.

Taehyun’s mad. He’s really mad at Beomgyu right now after all he discovered. “Your father was the one who gave me scholarship? Huh? And what huh? What about my part time jobs, was it you too? Huh!? And you keep sending money to my family through some kind of a charity cover up!? Why Beomgyu?”

“I just wanted to help you, Taehyun,” Beomgyu reasoned. “B-because if I tell you, you won’t allow me to do it—”

“Because it’s not your fucking responsibility! It’s not your duty to do that! That’s why I’m working hard for myself to achieve something, to earn, and to help my family! That’s my responsibility and not yours!” he raved, pointing fingers on Beomgyu in madness while crying so hard.

“I-I’m sorry… I’m really sorry,” Beomgyu sobs.

“This is the exact reason why I broke up with you before, Beomgyu and you still fucking did the same thing again. I know you did it out of love but how about me? Don’t you trust me? Why do you need to spend so much, why do you need to help so much, when I can do it too? Why? W-why are you being like this?” Taehyun looked for something support on because he feels like he’s about to fall off and hyperventilate again.

Beomgyu looks down and wipes his tears, “Taehyun… Taehyun I can’t afford seeing you weighing all the burdens of your family w-when I can also help you lessen them. I am helping you because I love you and I’m sorry, I’m sorry if my actions caused you to feel small but I never ever intended to make you feel that way. I love you and that’s why I’m doing it,” he explained his side. “I’m sorry… I’m so sorry.”

“I hate you so much, Choi Beomgyu,” Taehyun expressed. “I wish… How I wish you didn’t come back. How I wish you stay distant from me and didn’t bother me. I called off my engagement because you said you’re not going to make regret this. I left Hueningkai when he was the one who was with me ever since and I fucking hate myself… for letting you come back to me again. I really… really hate you, Choi Beomgyu.”

Beomgyu felt the fang of those words piercing every part of his chest. He’s blaming himself for what’s happening. He felt so stupid because he thinks he was the one who ruined everything. The next thing he heard is the door of his office getting slammed hard as Taehyun leaves him alone.

Maybe… Maybe he shouldn’t really have come back to Taehyun’s life.

Beomgyu barged in his father’s office who’s currently reading some newspaper. Director Choi didn’t even bother to see his crying son as he can already hear his sobs.

“Dad… I-I’ll do whatever you want… just please— please, let me have him,” he pleaded as he cries.

“Choi Beomgyu, I didn’t raise an idiot for you to cry like that in front of me,” Director Choi stated.

“But D-dad! Y-you know, you know followed everything you said because you said— you said if I became successful you’re going to let me do whatever I want!” Beomgyu shoots back and sniffs.

His father looked at him, blank stares, “Are you thinking you’re already successful? When I’m still sitting in here?” he asks.

“W-what… Dad, please,” he pleaded and almost kneeling in front of his dad.

“Don’t you dare begged in front of me Choi Beomgyu for a man like him! You know your duties! You know what you should do and that man is nothing but a hindrance to your career!”

“He is the reason why I strive hard to be in here! He is the reason why I did everything just to be the President of this company! So that I can take him with me and keep him!” he raised his voice. “But… B-but why are you doing this…” he sobs.

“Fool,” his dad commented. “He doesn’t need you anymore. He left with exchange, Beomgyu.”

“W-what are you talking about?” Beomgyu got confused.

“I paid him and he received the money,” he chuckles. “I knew he only wants money from you,” continued. “Love?” he scoffs. “So ideal, nothing but trash.”

Beomgyu shouldn’t believe by what his father said. Beomgyu knows Taehyun doesn’t like that way. He should believe in Taehyun rather than his ruthless father, right? But why does he suddenly doubt?

Couple of days after the confrontation, Beomgyu is still out of his mind. All Taehyun’s things that’s inside his house got packed and Soobin got them delivered back to Taehyun.

More days, weeks, and a fall season came, Taehyun never showed up again.

Soobin did everything to backed up Beomgyu with all the works as he mostly spaced out and snapped at people, he became even more impatient and irritated than usual. In the past first week, he keep on instructing Soobin to track Taehyun down but he can’t just find him and after days and days, Beomgyu given up.

Where’s Taehyun? Beomgyu doesn’t know. No one really knows where he is—except by one person, maybe.

“Hello Gyu! I prepared dinner for us! I tried this recipe I found online and I think I did well!” that’s what Beomgyu heard as soon as he opens the door of his house.

Woman in apron, curly hair tied up, and smiling at him widely and bubbly as usal. Beomgyu sighs and smiles a bit. “Thanks, I’ll just change clothes,” he replied and went upstairs.

“Okie-dokie! I’ll be waiting,” Shainne replied and went back to the kitchen to prepare the table.

Beomgyu went downstairs and he noticed there is more food than usual. “What’s the occasion?” Beomgyu asked.

He might went into as blunt as Soobin when he’s at work since Taehyun went gone but he always tried to be nice in front of the woman and shows interest to her. She’s his fiancée anyway.

Shainne smiles at Beomgyu, sparkly eyes, “I have a favour to ask,” she started.

“Oh, what is it?” Beomgyu tried to sound interested.

“Can I sleep with you tonight?”
