“Babe! Ah, finally you’re home!”

Taehyun received a warm hug from Hueningkai as he opens the door. Taehyun hugs him back, hesitantly, feeling the guilt inside him as he reflects to what he did.

What was it again?

He came back to his beloved ex. He confessed the real reason why he decided to act that way before. He confessed that he’s still love him and Beomgyu did the same to him. Beomgyu encouraged him to cheat and Taehyun gladly accept.

Why? So in all years that Taehyun has been with Hueningkai, did he even love him? Or he just stays with him because Hueningkai stayed with him when he was alone?

No matter what the reason is the only thing that is clear is that he don’t love Hueningkai anymore.

“Is there something wrong? You’ve been quiet since you came home. Is that really tiring?” Hueningkai asked while they are at the dining and eating dinner together. Hueningkai’s tone is worried.

“Hmm? Oh, no or maybe yes? It’s a week trip, really tiring. Running errands and everything,” Taehyun sighs. “It was really… really a tiring one,” he added and pursed his lips.

Then a warm hand covered the top of his hand. Taehyun lifted his eyes and see Hueningkai smiling at him. “You’re doing well, Babe. You know that, okay? Always. You’re great in all ways,” he suddenly complimented the younger.

Taehyun smiles. Maybe here’s one of the reason why he stayed despite the fact that he’s only trying to deny that he still love his ex. Maybe one of the reason is because Hueningkai has been sincere ever since.

“Kai,” he called him and the other frowns a bit when he heard him calling by his name, so unusual. “I’m just curious, why did you choose to stay with me… knowing the fact that I just used you before?” he suddenly asks.

Hueningkai was taken aback because Taehyun never open up about this matter before. They both exactly know about what happened and Taehyun never ask about Hueningkai’s feelings about it. And here he is getting questioned out of sudden.

“W-why I stayed?” Hueningkai repeated and Taehyun nods. “Because I love you. Do I need any reason to stay with you?” he answered, looking intently to the other’s eyes.

Taehyun forced a smile when he felt a sting on his chest. “You’re right… You love me,” he whispered and tried to smile even wider. “Thank you for staying, Babe.”

Hueningkai smiles as it. “I know what you did was for the best but you eventually fall for me and that’s all it matters. We’re going to stay until the end, right? That’s what we promised.”

“Right,” Taehyun again forced a smile and just continued eating, doesn’t want to have more of that topic.

He just feels so wrong talking about love when he’s cheating.

It’s bedtime, the couple is beside each other. Hueningkai’s already sleeping while hugging Taehyun but Taehyun’s wide awake, looking at the ceiling. How it feels so odd that suddenly, Hueningkai’s presence cannot let him sleep anymore.

It just suddenly disappears out of a sudden.

So he decided to carefully gets up from the bed. Take out his phone and made his way out of their unit. Since they live on the third floor, he rested both of his elbows on the railings and dials someone’s number. It only took two rings before it got answered.
