“Kang Taehyun what the heck are you thinking!?”

“We can’t get that help, sis,” Taehyun said using his calm tone when he got home together with his older sister. His parents are still in the hospital.

“What do you mean we can’t? We can! You don’t!” she exclaimed, feeling annoyed by her brother’s attitude.

“I don’t because…” Taehyun paused and Director Choi’s voice went inside him again. “Because we shouldn’t.”

“You’re being selfish, Taehyun.”

“What?” Taehyun frowned.

“I know, I know that this has something to do with Beomgyu because Choi Group owned by his family and you ended in bad terms but is it really right for you to act this way? Our dad’s life is on the line and you’re still being like that just because of your pride!?” she raved at him.

Taehyun scoffs in disappointed. “So I’m selfish now? I’m selfish now because this is what I think is the best?”

“This is not the best, Taehyun. You’re doing this because of yourself!”

Taehyun scoffs once again and turn his back to her sister then he looked at her again. “Do you even know what Beomgyu’s father said to us? Do you… Do you even know how it feels receiving those accusations? No! No because all you do in here is to receive money from me! All you do in here to spend the money I’m working hard!”

“The charity that’s helping you? It’s Choi Group! The scholarship that made me get out of college? It’s Choi Group! The money I’m sending here? It’s from Choi Group! We are practically living because of them! We came this far because of them and I don’t have and single idea about it!” he continued.

“And now dad? Dad’s going to live because of them again? Just how many debts are family have already to them!? And we can’t pay them any cents— or maybe the only thing that can bail us from all those debts is for me to get lost in Beomgyu’s life!” he raved, tears streaming down his cheeks.

Taehyun continued after sobbing, “I-I… I just want to be with someone the one I love, is that too much to ask? I j-just want to live with him without these fucking boundaries! Without sacrificing shit! But we can’t! We can’t because I need to pay those fucking debts by not being with him!”

Taehyun cries after raving out all his anger to his sister who’s just quiet and doesn’t know what to react as she only heard it for the first time. Taehyun’s cries are getting louder, he falls off his feet and covered his face with his palm.

“Is loving him is becoming selfish?” he muttered. “I-is that bad if I won’t priority my family first? A-am I a b-bad child if I want to be happy too?”

“T-Taehyun… I’m—”

“All my life, all I did is to study hard for you. I never asked for much because I know you badly needed it as the first born. Mom and dad prioritized you and you didn’t even finished college because you got pregnant early then everything fall on me. Do you know how much weight that is?” Taehyun looked at her and she looked away because of guilt.

“I went to Seoul with Beomgyu to find a brighter future for all of us. I didn’t even asked for money that much because I am working hard in there and study hard in there— no, Beomgyu was the one who worked hard for the both us and that little money you’re sending to me when dad was still working, Beomgyu and I saved it for other purposes. Until dad got into accident, fall into this stupid cancer because I’ve been telling you all to limit his vices but you didn’t listen to me!”
