“What are we going to talk about?”

“Us?”

Soobin paused and looked at him, “Us…” he repeated.

There’s a silence before Soobin open the door and they both entered. They remained standing away from each other and Yeonjun is the one who speaks first.

“Why didn’t you tell me you know her?” Yeonjun asked.

“Because I don’t think there’s still a reason to tell you about something you already knew,” Soobin answered, using his usual blunt tone. “Then you, why didn’t you tell me about her?” he asked back.

“It was a mistake. I was drunk,” Yeonjun replied.

“Of course, you’re going to say it’s a mistake…” he pauses. “But is it still a mistake if you constantly meet her?”

Yeonjun pulled his eyes off him for a scond and Soobin scoffs. “Soobin, can you blame me? If I’m already choked up?” he said.

Soobin walks closer to him. “Who the fuck begged to me to forgive and give another chance?” he asked. “Who the fuck promised me that he will never hurt me again because he fucking knows my past? It’s you, Choi Yeonjun. How dare you fucked me up so hard and come to me saying you’re fucking choked up and your last resort is to find a girl?”

“Because I thought you’re going to change,” Yeonjun defended. “I thought if I wait a little bit more you’re going to get soft but— but it’s still the same, Soobin. All you do is work, work, and you don’t even open up things to me. You’re hiding everything!”

“Why would I change for you? And why are you blaming me if you’re impatient? Huh?” Soobin taunted. “Do you even know how much risk I took the moment I decided to be in relationship again? Because I know that for sure, I’m not going to be a good partner. And we’re just dating for months, Yeonjun. You expect me to open up things to you as if you’re that trustable? You’re blaming me that you cheated because I am busy with work when you keep on seeing that girl on our first two months?”

Yeonjun was taken aback by Soobin’s statement. He doesn’t know how Soobin knew it. He got hit by Soobin’s word that made him unable to speak. “T-that’s—”

“Choi Yeonjun… how can you do that to me? H-how can you promise me something and then break it off like that?” Soobin’s lips are suddenly trembling.

“S-Soobin…” Yeonjun called him and tried to hold his hands but Soobin step backwards, “I’m s-sorry… I regret it a lot. I-I should have waited for more. I-I should have given you more time, I’m reall sorry…”

“What are you exactly sorry for, Yeonjun? B-because I don’t understand. Y-you know my situation, you know why I’m like this and you really think it’ll be easy for me to change just because you’re with me? Healing doesn’t work like that,” Soobin stated.

Yeonjun nods and looks lowly, slowly tearing up. His regretting all the bullshit he did when he can actually change and manage things. “E-everthing… I’m sorry for everything. I’m sorry, I cheated… again. I’m sorry for hurting you again…” he meets Soobin’s eyes. “P-please forgive me, Soobin… Please?”

“You know what Yeonjun? Even if you begged right now, even if you apologize for how many times. I will never get back to you again. I already told you this is your last fucking chance and look at what you did. I keep my words that you cannot do. And to add more, I don’t really know but… I’m not hurt at all.”
