My eyes zoomed out and my perspective shifted like I was above my body. I wasn't in there anymore.
It was after the guards were gone, I was left sitting on the corner of my bed, looking nowhere. Numbness immediately crawled on all four limbs at the sight of the discolored hand of hers. Hindi pa nakatulong ang pagod at namamagang mata niya habang nagmamakaawa sa'kin na huwag saktan ang mapapangasawa niya.
It felt like I was the monster. Maybe I am one.
I should be hurting right now but I can't feel anything. Am I dead? Oh man, I can't be dead, I just found my family. Wait, am I a ghost now? Oh my fucking god, I swear. Ghosts are real?

With her wide-eyes, Aileen held her hands in front of me carefully. "Vincent?"

Nakatayo siya at nakatingin kay Aileen kaya lalo lang akong naiinis. Nagtitigan pa sila ng babae ng ilang segundo bago nito binitiwan ang panulat na siyang nalaglag sa sahig.

Hindi ko mapaliwanag, I could feel it as if I'm wrapped in a sheet. Am I dreaming?

Narinig ko ang gulat ng mga maid na nasa ibaba at nakakita sa'kin na lumapag sa fully groomed bushes bago ito gumulong at nagmamadali tumakbo papunta sa garden.
Dumiretso ito kung saan unang nahagip ng mata nito ang fenced wall sa likod garahe. The garden was an open space where bermuda grass covered its entirety with huge trees surrounding the property.
Nang makarating ako doon, inabot ko ang rehas sa ibabaw ng sementong pader nang maramdaman ko ang paggewang ng paningin ko. Hindi ko ito pinansin and attempted to jump to reach the rails or at least the edge of the wall but my drowsy ass can't do it. Then I snapped in my body.

Sa likod ng mga ito si Aileen na lakad-takbong sumusunod sa mga ito. I don't get the worry on her face when she wants to trap me in a ward.
