Judith POV
While Alec was at work, I sat at home. I didn't feel like going out today so I chose to stay home, curl up on the sofa and binge watch stuff until I couldn't keep my eyes open and fell asleep on the sofa. Of course with all my favourite snacks to keep me occupied.
I couldn't help but admire the ring on my finger. I've had it on for three weeks now I can't get over how beautiful it looks. My mum and dad, as well as uncle Ryker and Dustin, were over the moon hearing the news that Alec and I were engaged. We don't plan to get married for a while, we agree some time next year or the year after that. Just so I can put all my focus on my younger siblings and not wedding planning.
My phone rang so I picked it up from my lap and smiled when I saw my mum ringing me. I answered getting the same smile on return with both my parents on the screen.
"Hi." I said when it connected.
"Hi baby girl. How are you feeling today?" My mum asked.
"Good. I'm okay. What about you two?"
"Could be better. It's starting to get uncomfortable to sleep. But other than that I'm okay. Excited to have them here." Mum replied.
"More than excited. I can't remember ever being like this." My dad smiled. "When your mum found out she was pregnant with you. That's the last time."
"Makes me want my own." I laughed a little.
"Just because we're expecting doesn't mean you can't try." Mums eyes softened. "Judith don't hold back. If you want children please get pregnant. I don't want you to feel like you have to wait."
"Mum I'd love nothing more than to do that. But it's my choice, I want to be able to give all my attention to my siblings, I want to wait a few years and spoil them. Alec understands as well. Besides I don't see the point in rushing anything. It's nice just the two of us for a while." I told them.
"We know darling. We're just saying don't hold back because of us. We'd make it work so you still get to spoil your siblings and we can spoil our grandchildren." My dad stated.
"I appreciate it, dad. Honestly though, I'm so content on it being just me and Alec. We can do what we like when we like, we don't have a time limit because of a babysitter. It's nice being able to just do it and not have to worry about anything." I shrugged.
"That's good baby. I'm happy to hear you're having a great time." Mum smiled.
"I am. It's nice and homey. I can see Alec at work any time or stay home. Maggie and Whitney never leave me excluded they always call or message to see if I want to do anything. It's nice. I like being around them."
"Have there been anymore problems with that girl?" Dad asked.
"Not really. She had a little bitch fit when Alec proposed but other than that she hasn't been a problem. I don't know, there's just something about her. She's a stunning woman, sometimes I feel like she's better, she could give him so much more." I confessed.
"Judith you are enough, more than enough." Dad said with a sad sigh. "Don't talk down on yourself like that. Alec loves you, his eyes are on you and only on you. He looks at you the way I look at your mother, and you the way your mum looks at me. No one could ever come between you two, I know that for certain."
"Kind of feels like I'm not enough though." I whispered.
"What makes you feel like that?" Mum asked.
"I don't know." I shrugged. "It just feels like he does everything. He works, he cooks, he cleans, he takes care of me, he does literally everything. He runs me a bath, he makes sure I'm okay. And I feel useless. What can I do for him if he's already doing it all? It's like I'm not enough for him."
