Alec POV

Going into the cells I see each of the people in separate cages. Those that dared to harm my mate. All sitting in a cell ready for me to tear them down. One. By. One. I will rip them limb from limb and not stop. I will let their cries and pleas fall on deaf ears just like I know they let Judith's. Just like I know how she cried and pleaded them to stop.

Starting with the first one, Mandy's father. In the first cell, I will take away his life just like I did Mandy's. I will listen to his mate sob at the loss of her mate just like I sobbed thinking the worst when I heard about my little one. With one tug I pulled the door open breaking the lock that kept it shut. The tiniest amount of silver would keep a wolf at bay. But I'm not just a wolf, and nothing will stop me from taking their lives just like they almost took Judith's.

"Do you have any last words?" I spat out. All Mandy's father did was stand and spit at my feet.

"Rot in hell." He growled.

"Never." I whispered. "But you will." With that I pinned him to the wall of the cell by his neck. The scream of his mate filled my ears but I ignored it. "You will pay with you life for what you did. You poison my mate, yours will lose you before I rip her throat out." Just like that, I held his neck as I bashed his head on the wall.

All that I could hear was the screams of Mandy's mother and the grunts of pain from her father. Now that Bitch can have her family back. At least someone gets to have theirs. Judith probably would never want to see me again. The thought fuelled my anger even more, like I was on autopilot and my body took charge from my mind. I didn't stop until blood pooled at my feet and I could no longer hear his heart beating.

Dropping his body, it fell with a thud. Over the ringing in my ears I could hear Mandy's mother screaming over her mate. Her and her wolf mourning the loss of their mate. She wouldn't face the same fate. She will sit here in this cell and watch her mates body decay before her eyes. I will watch as she slowly dies inside then when the time is right, I'll rip her throat out.

Stepping out of the cell, I look at the warrior that lied and betrayed my mate. He is supposed to protect this pack, not lead them to danger. Judith is innocent, she never hurt anyone. This should have happened to me, not her. He will pay the price.

"Your time is limited. I leave you with the fear of the unknown. Not knowing when I'll be back, not knowing how you'll meet your end. The fear will cripple you, the not knowing will pain you. It may not be today, maybe not tomorrow. But one day, you will suffer just like she did."

"Is that a threat or a promise?" He glared at me.

"When it comes to her. When it comes to my little one. You can put all your trust in me that it's a promise. You'll suffer much worse than what she has. That's a damn promise." I told him.

"And you." I turned to Mandy's mother who was red in the face full of tears. "I won't kill you. Not yet. You'll sit here and watch you're mates body decay right in front of your eyes. You'll sit here in pain knowing you couldn't do shit to help him. Over time you won't have your mate nor your wolf. That's your punishment. And once you have been ripped of everything you care for, I'll be there to rip your throat out, just like I did to Mandy. Like mother like daughter."

"I curse you. And that bitch of yours. I curse the both of you. I hope you have a miserable life, never happy, never get to have children. Monsters like you should never get to feel any happiness." Mandy's mother sobbed out in anger.

"You can't curse what's already been cursed. It's damn pity really." I stated and walked out of the cells.

Marco stood at the top of the stairs waiting for me. I know he knows what I've done. I don't care for the consequences. He can do whatever to me, but I refuse Judith see the same treatment. That girl deserves nothing but happiness in this life.

"I had a fair punishment for them. You didn't have to kill them." Marco sighed.

"Death is fair." I spat out. "They practically killed her, she might not even wake up. She's barely stable. Whatever you have in mind is not fair. They would have gotten away with murder if they hadn't of been caught. They deserve what I gave them. Fear is better than any punishment, and when used right people cower at the thought. I will not stop until all of them are dead. At the end I'll burn their bodies, they don't deserve a burial, nothing to remind anyone of them. They'll simply get forgotten."

"Alec, you can't be like this. The pack is under a lot of stress. They fear you."

"Good. Maybe then no one will dare to lay a hand on what's mine." I shrugged and walked away.

I went home to change and shower. The house is silent. Not even my parents and in-laws here to fill this void. Not the laughter of my mate, not her beautiful voice, or her sexy moans. There's just silence. A sound I never want to hear again.

Once showered and changed, I went back to the hospital still seeing my dads, Damien and Harriette in the waiting room. Silently, I sat with them ready to wait for any updates on Judith. And here we sat from afternoon to night. From night back to morning, to afternoon, to night once again.

After three days, a doctor came out. I stayed seated. I could hear Harriette cry in relief, Judith's awake. Damien held his mate, relief on his face knowing that she's going to be okay. The same with my parents. Yet I'm still tense, stressed and anxious not knowing if Judith would want to see me. If she even wants to be with me.

And that's the real fear. Not fear itself. The unknown. That's the worst kind of fear.

A chapter for you guys. I thought you would want to read this one so here you go. From here on out I'll be writing until this book is finished so it might be a while. Hopefully by the end of may, if not I'll update a chapter or two to let you know where I am.

I hope you enjoyed, let me know your thoughts in the comments.
