Alec POV

Since Judith goes to the nursery at Damien's pack, she was able to have a party with her class mates. There was around fifteen pups playing around the cabin, some outside of the lake and some inside. Judith in the lake in her wolf form. She was quite the early shifter, wolves usually shift at around three or four depending on rank. So high ranking pups about three, while lower ranking three and half to four and if they're omega sometimes they don't shift until about six or seven.

And because Judith is half wolf and half vampire like her mum, she shifted at two and a half. It was unexpected simply because she was so young and Harriette shifted at four for the first time. We all kind of expected it to be the same for Judith. But no, she shifted early and has the most beautiful wolf.

She has white fur that if it snowed enough she'd be lost. Other than her black nose and ocean blue eyes she could hide and not be found. The only other thing that would make her noticeable is the odd speck of black fur in her coat. We believe she is more wolf than vampire, she has more hunting instinct in a wolf manner, she shifted very early and doesn't have much of an appetite for blood.

Of course we mix it in food for her so she doesn't have withdrawals from lack of blood, but she can go weeks before she has to have an animal or blood bag. Whereas me, Harriette and Lola need to have it every other day before our other half's take over or we get weak. It's happened to be once, yeah not a feeling I'm willing to go back to.

We all stood outside, the summer sun shining down on us. Parents stood around talking while the laughter of pups echoed. But the one laugh that I can always hear made me smile and look over to where she was. Judith swam in the lake with a couple other pups from the pack.

Like she could feel my eyes on her, Judith turned her head and met my eyes. I gave her a smile to which she returned. I'm sure my eyes holding so much love for the little girl who never fails to brighten up my day. Ever since she was born I'm sure I've never not had a smile on my face because of her. The little character she's become is amazing to witness.

"What are you looking at?" She said pulling me from my trance.

"Nothing." I coughed and looked at my feet.

"As I was saying..." Lydia, Damien's cousins daughter. Since both one of my dads and Damien are from the pack, we unfortunately still have family to visit. So whenever we go, we go as a family. Me, Judith, Harriette, Damien and my dads and Lola.

We don't go often since I'm very reserved, I'm more vampire than wolf so I'd rather be alone, I don't want to socialise with anyone but my family. Ever since Lydia met me six years ago, she will not leave me alone. No matter how much I walk away or try to avoid her, she's always there. My dads like to tease me about it, she's got a crush on you, it's so sweet, or, you two look so cute together, why not see where things go?

However I don't want to see where things go with Lydia. She annoys the fuck out of me and I want to rip off my own dick more than anything when she's around. The only one on my mind is Judith, the memories I have of the little wolf never fail to make my day better. Then seeing her brightens it, she has this effect on me and I'm always happy around her.

"Maybe we could go on a date? You know get to know each other better. I really like you, Alec, I'd like to you know, start dating." Lydia said.

I look down at her with a frown. "No thanks." I don't mean to be rude, that's just who I am other than when I'm with Judith. "Look, Lydia." I sighed. "I'm sorry but I've got my eye on someone else. You're a great girl and there is someone for you, it's just not me. I don't like you the way you like me."

"Oh, okay." She looked away. "Who is she?"

"Uh, I'd prefer not to say." I replied. I can't exactly tell her it's her three year old cousin, can I? The look I would get from her, and Lydia is a gossip so it'd get out and I'm not okay with putting myself in that position nor Judith or my family.

"What's she like?"

"She's funny, a real character." I told her with a smile on my face. "She's everything I wanted and more, she's just perfect."

"Whoever she is, is lucky to have you. If she doesn't want you, you know where I am." Lydia stated then walked away. I stayed where I was looking down at the ground.

All of a sudden a giggle filled my ears sending an immediate smile to my face. Little arms wrapped around the backs of my legs with a smiling face poking through the gap of my legs. I looked down and smiled at the grinning pup. Her big eyes staring up at me while she laughed and walked through my legs making me widen them more so she could fit through.

"What are you doing, little one?" I chuckled and picked her up. I sat her on my hip where she then kissed my cheek.

"I miss you." Judith giggled and laid her head on my shoulder. I chuckled and kissed the top of her head.

"I miss you too, little one. Are you ready for a nap? Is that why you came to me?" I asked.

"No." She yawned, her little fist rising to rub her eyes. I smiled and rubbed her back knowing it won't be long and she'll fall asleep. Even if she says no, I know she's tired. Like I knew it, Judith was asleep within ten minutes.

This girl melts my heart with everything she does.

A/N: Hi, sorry it's been a very long while. Since I had decided to write up my other book Innocent Love until it was finished, it's taken me a while. Now that it's all done, I'm going to work on this as much as I can and not leave updates too long in between. Once again sorry for leaving it so long but hopefully I'll have more time and my focus will be updating this book than anything else.

Thank you for reading, please vote and comment your thoughts. There will be an update tomorrow for you guys.
