Cramps

"Goodnight baby." Jimin kissed Minjeong on the forehead, ready to head to sleep. It took a couple of tosses and turns to get her to finally fall asleep and once she did, she won't wake up until the morning.

However Minjeong couldn't sleep at all, she was experiencing cramps due to her 'time of the month' and it just won't go away anytime soon. Jimin knew, and she's tried giving a heat pack to the younger one and it helped. Temporarily.

Medicine would be the last thing Jimin would give Minjeong if she absolutely can't handle it. Pain relieving medicine was the only thing Minjeong would've taken if she had severe cramps.

Tonight is however one of those painful nights for Minjeong.

The pain grew worse and worse each hour and she couldn't help herself but to just cry herself to sleep, hoping the pain would fade away.

4 am

Jimin wakes up in the middle of the night hearing Minjeong hitched breathing, and tiny whimpers. At first Jimin just brushed it off and pulled the younger girl in to cuddle with to sleep but this time she realized Minjeong was slightly curled into a fetus position, grasping onto Jimin's arms with tears running down her eyes.

"Baby, are you alright?"

"No.."

"What's wrong baby?" Jimin sat up, turning the lamp near her on. The younger girl's eyes were shut tight and she was crying floods of tears. Jimin was concerned and worried.

"How bad does it hurt?" Jimin tried slightly rubbing the area of the cramp.

"It hurts really bad-" Jimin walked out of the room and came back with a hot pack for Minjeong's stomach.

"Thanks Jimin," although it'll take awhile for the hot pack to settle in, she went to the kitchen to grab some hot water in a thermos for Minjeong.

"How are you feeling?"

"I'm feeling alright, it still kinda hurts." She sighs

"Can I get pain relieving pills?" It's only a once and while type of thing when Minjeong asks for medicine because cramps never get that bad for her.

Jimin nods and walks off to the kitchen to grab the pain relievers only to find out that there wasn't any more in there. It left her with no choice but to run to the pharmacy that was open 24 hours a day.

She walked back into the room and saw Minjeong resting.

"Babe, do you think you'll be okay in the next 5-10 minutes?" She asks, stroking Minjeong's hair.

"Yeah, hopefully. Why?"

"I'm going to run to the pharmacy nearby to get you more pain relievers." Minjeong slightly shook her head.

"Baby you don't need to do that, just go to bed I'll be fine." Minjeong sleepily replied.

Jimin smiled and shook her head. "No, Minjeong it's alright, I'll be back quick. You need this." Jimin brushes her thumb across Minjeong's cheeks and walks over to grab her jacket and a cap.

"Drink the hot water while I'm out, okay?" Jimin smiled before heading out.

Fortunately they live in an apartment near a pharmacy so Jimin could make a run for the store and come back in less than 10 minutes.

She jogged down the sidewalk, admiring the dark, but purple and blue morning sky and the birds starting to chirp.

She pulled the door open to the small pharmacy and she was greeted by the cashier which she knows really well.

"Hey! Kinda early to be here, huh?" The girl asks Jimin.

"Yeah, I just needed to run a sudden errand." Jimin replied. She walked up the aisle of medication and couldn't find a single pain reliever. They were out of stock.

"Hey yeji, do you have any more pain relievers?" Jimin asks.

"Hmm, I think we do, try checking the further back side of the shop." Yeji replied, pointing to the back. Jimin walked over there and found plenty more which was a relief.

"Thanks!" Jimin smiled, watching yeji scan the bottle of medicine.

"Is this for Minjeong?" Yeji asks.

"Yeah, how'd you know?"

"The look on your face seemed like you were pretty urgent for something."

"Oh, yeah. Minjeong needed these." Both chuckled.

"Okay, well I'll see you later then!" Jimin waves as she runs out the door.

She got home shortly and quietly entered the room to find Minjeong asleep, soundless. The older girl walked over to admire the girl's face. She looked peaceful. Jimin planted a kiss on Minjeong's forehead. "Sleep well Mindongie."
