"He got Karlie home at 5:30 a.m. She kissed him softly before slipping inside. He waited until the door shut behind her, then drove off.

Karlie tiptoed upstairs, her heart racing. She was lucky—everyone was still asleep. She quickly changed into her nightdress and slid beneath the covers, her body still tingling with the memory of Aiden. As she lay there, the reality of what had happened washed over her. Butterflies danced in her stomach. She closed her eyes and drifted into a deep, contented sleep.

Aiden arrived home just as the security guards opened the gate. He parked in the garage and walked inside, his mind still reeling from the night. He had made love to Karlie. And he was happy. But the weight of what they had done pressed on his chest—there was no going back now.

He couldn't marry Ariel. Not after this. But what was he going to do?

He went upstairs, closed his bedroom door, and collapsed onto his bed. The exhaustion hit him at once, but the last thing on his mind before sleep took over was Karlie—her scent, her touch, her love.

Aiden's POV:

"Relentlessly fight for what you believe in no matter the consequences". Aiden Baldwin.

"Aiden woke up at noon the next day, his body still heavy with exhaustion. He stretched, blinking against the afternoon light streaming through the windows. As the memories of last night flooded his mind, a slow smile spread across his face.

Karlie.

They had crossed a line—one they could never undo. And he didn't want to. But what now? He loved her, he wanted to be with her, yet his duty to marry Miss Winters loomed over him like a shadow. He knew he had decisions to make, ones that could change everything.

Pushing the thoughts aside for now, he got up and went downstairs.

"Hi, Mary," he greeted, his voice lighter than it had been in weeks.

"Good afternoon, Master. You slept in late."

"Yeah, some much-needed rest," he admitted, offering her a rare, genuine smile.
