Amber POV:

"When you find that one that's right for you, you feel like they were put there for you, and you never want to be apart". Unknown.

"Amber had been feeling happier than she had in a long time. She and Andy had been spending so much time together, and her parents adored him. He was kind, thoughtful, and genuinely cared about her. She could feel herself falling for him—but a part of her remained hesitant. She wanted marriage, a future set in stone, but she had no idea what Andy had planned.

She needed to call Karlie. There was so much to tell her best friend—how Andy gave her butterflies, how she had been right about him all along. He made her feel things she had only read about in books, emotions she had never experienced before. He was refreshing.

He had opened up about his past without her even having to ask, telling her about his time in rehab for drinking.

Losing his mother had wrecked him, and he hadn't handled it well. But he was trying. He had looked her in the eye and said he didn't want any secrets between them because he cared about her too much to hurt her.

Amber sighed, a soft smile playing on her lips as she thought about their first kiss. His lips had been warm, moving against hers with gentle pressure, making her melt into him. Just the memory of it sent heat to her cheeks.

Shaking herself from the thought, she slid out of bed and made her way to the drawing room.

"She was still surprised when she thought back to the day Andy showed up at her home in the city, roses in hand, asking to speak to her parents and seek their blessing to court her

"She was still surprised when she thought back to the day Andy showed up at her home in the city, roses in hand, asking to speak to her parents and seek their blessing to court her.

She had felt something when they first met, but she never imagined it would turn into more than fleeting attraction. After all, she had heard of his ways.

Andy Fairview wasn't the kind of man who seemed anywhere near ready to settle down. And even if he was, she hadn't thought she would be his type. But she had been wrong. He had made that so clear.

Amber smiled as she worked on two paintings—one for Andy and another for Karlie's upcoming 20th birthday. She had always loved painting, but now, with happiness filling her heart, she loved it even more.
