Chapter 6."The Season Part 4"

"They finally arrived," Karlie thought as she stepped out of the car. "This place, from first glance, is very beautiful," she remarked to herself. Anthony stretched his hand out for her to hold. "Let's go," he said with a smile.

When they went inside, it was a garden filled with beautiful birds and flowers. It was the most beautiful place Karlie had ever seen.

"Welcome, Mr. Fairview. I have your table ready," the host said as they arrived. "Thank you, Carl," Anthony replied with a smile. He turned to Karlie. "Do you like it, my lady?" he asked.

"Yes, sir. It's very beautiful. I love it," Karlie responded. Anthony interrupted her. "Please call me Anthony," he said with a smile.

They were then escorted to their table. "I wanted us to be able to have lunch and talk about our courtship," Anthony said. Carl approached them. "Anything to drink while you both decide on what you're going to have?" he asked.

"Sure, I'll have a glass of white wine," Anthony said. "For you, my lady?" Carl asked Karlie. "I'll have some apple juice," she replied.

Anthony looked at her. "You don't drink, do you?" he asked curiously.

No, I don't," Karlie responded. "A lady indeed," Anthony thought to himself. "What's good to have here, Anthony?" she asked.

"Well, it all depends on your preference. I like to have veggies, mashed potatoes, and steak well done," Anthony replied. "I'll try that as well. Tell me more about yourself, Karlie. Your hopes, dreams, what do you want in a husband?" he asked.
