"Amber was in her room, laying on her bed. She had finished the paintings she was doing for Karlie and Andy. She smiled to herself, hoping they would like it. Her lady maid came upstairs to let her know that Andy was on the phone. She told her, "Transfer it here to me, please."
"Hey, you," she said in a cheerful voice as she answered the phone.
"Hi, sweetheart. You're gonna need to come to the country as soon as possible. Karlie needs you."
"Andy, slow down. What's wrong?"
"Karlie and her family have been humiliated by the Fairview's. Apparently, Anthony has a bastard son. Aiden found out and confronted him about it. They got into an altercation. It's buzzing all over town. Everybody's talking about it."
"Babe, please slow down. Anthony what? Are you kidding me right now?"
"No, sweetheart, I wish I was. She wasn't born into their society, but even she knew how much of an embarrassment this could cause to a family."
"Okay, I'll be there first thing in the morning, baby. You can't come tonight?"
"I could, but I need to calm down first, or I might kill Anthony." She took a deep breath. "How is Aiden?"
"He's well, my love. You know how he feels about Karlie, and this whole mess started because Aiden had our head of security, Nick, followed and dig up dirt on Anthony cause he didn't trust him. But you and I know it's because he wanted to make sure Karlie was in safe hands, even if he can't have her.
" Amber didn't quite agree with Andy. "I mean, digging up dirt on Anthony was a low blow, in her opinion. Sure, Anthony is sleazy, but nothing good came out of finding out Anthony's skeletons. Two families are now destroyed."
"Baby, are you still there?"
"Yes, my love, I'm just in shock with everything that's going on."
"Okay, I understand. Well, I need to check on Aiden. He's been in bed since the fight, and Father is not home, but he's coming home soon. He's going to be very upset about all this mess. I was the one who was always getting in trouble, not Aiden. I'll see you when you get here tomorrow morning, okay? Love you, see you then. Bye."
