Aiden's POV:

"It's not so important who starts the game, but who finishes it."

"Today is the day! For the past two days, Aiden has been immersed in the joy of having his brother Andy back home. Keeping a watchful eye on him has been both a responsibility and a source of immense happiness.

They've dedicated themselves to working diligently on the farm. However, during their visits to town, Andy has developed a particular fondness for billiards and other leisure activities, spending considerable time at the gentlemen's club. While it's not Aiden's preferred environment, he accompanies Andy to ensure he steers clear of alcohol, hoping to prevent any relapse.

Today was the day for golf—a time when men would gather to smoke cigars and discuss women as if they were mere possessions. Unlike his brother Andy, Aiden had always found it challenging to make friends.

Responsibility had always been his priority, leaving no room for indulgences like smoking, drinking, or other vices. His focus remained steadfast on his studies, steering clear of trouble.

Andy had always been his closest companion, which is why Aiden decided to bring him along today. As Aiden shaved, he gazed into the mirror, contemplating what the day might hold. The few acquaintances Andy had introduced him to at the gentlemen's club were insufferable—men he considered degenerates.

With a sigh, Aiden rinsed his face, bracing himself for the day's events.

Andy came up the stairs, nearly ready. "Brother? I'll meet you downstairs soon," he called out.

Aiden smirked, adjusting his cuffs. "Everyone was supposed to wear full white," he reminded him before heading downstairs to join the family for breakfast.

As he settled in, Andy strolled in, looking as confident as ever.

"Ready for me to kick your butt today?" Andy teased.

Aiden chuckled. "Keep dreaming, brother. Come on, let's go."

Their father joined them, and together they set off for the golf course. The morning sun cast a golden glow over the landscape, making for a picturesque day. As they traveled, a comfortable silence settled between them, each lost in thought.
