Aiden's POV:
The human capacity for burden is like bamboo - far more flexible than you'd ever believe at first glance." - Jodi Picoult.

"Why the fuck was I in a hospital with drips on me? Why did my head hurt so much? What's happening, John?" I called out. "Yes, sir, I am here. What happened?" John replied. "Well, you were getting a massage and you called me. By the time I got there, you had collapsed. I called the ambulance, and you were taken here. Apparently, you overdosed on ecstasy and cocaine." Aiden took a deep sigh. "Your brother was here. Andy was here. Why is it I can't remember anything?"

"He's getting you moved from this hospital to a rehab facility tomorrow morning," John continued. "I don't wanna go to rehab, John. Get me out of here," Aiden pleaded. "I understand, sir, but it's for the best. You were manic. The doctors had to strap you down. You want to get better, and this place might be good for you."

"John, you work for me." "That I do, sir, but I also know that you need help." "What I need is to see her, Karlie Coldwater. She's getting married tomorrow, and I may never see her again. It's too late now," Aiden felt a teara run down his face. But John was right. He drifted off to sleep.

Karlie's POV:

"Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what's going to happen next.

Gilda Radner.

As Karlie woke up, she rolled over and looked at the time: 2 AM. She had awakened to pee, but she wasn't sleeping well. The fact that Aiden was missing and it was the day before she got married to Anthony, and they would go on their honeymoon and then move into their home, she had a mixture of sadness. The lies she was telling herself about what must be done. She wished she could see Aiden and tell him about their baby, but it was better this way.

As she went downstairs, she made herself a glass of warm milk. Hopefully, that would help her sleep. Finally, her parents and Anthony's parents were getting along. Things were looking up. She was making the right choice. She picked up her phone, another gift from Anthony when they had gone to the city. He got them both cell phones. "It's important to be able to call me whenever you want, dear," he had told her. "My mother and father hated the thing, it's what they call it, but I'm getting used to it, I suppose."

She called Anthony, and he picked up after she called four times. "Hi," he stated. He sounded sleepy. "Are you okay?" he asked. "I am just feeling anxious and nervous." "It's okay, you have me. We have each other. You've been so busy, I haven't gotten a chance to see you." "I know, but we will see each other on Saturday."

Everything will be fine, "Where are we going for our honeymoon?" Karlie asked "It's a surprise. I'm sure you will love it," Anthony replied. "Okay, fine. I'll just have to trust you then," she said. "That you shall have to do my dear. Get some rest. You have a busy day tomorrow. We both do." "Okay, I'll do my best," she told him. "Goodbye," and she hung up the phone. Suddenly, sleeping alone doesn't seem all that fun. She wanted to climb in bed with her mom like when she was a little girl, but she wasn't a little girl anymore. She went upstairs, climbed into her bed, and turned the lights out. She lay there, just thinking of her wedding and of Aiden, and she drifted off to sleep.

Andy's POV:

"To meet a beautiful woman is one thing, but to meet your best friend in the most beautiful of women is something entirely apart." -Simon Basset.

Andy couldn't sleep. He tossed and turned, and tossed and turned some more. He was sure Amber felt neglected, but with everything he was going through, he didn't know how to make time to fit her in. The wedding for Karlie and Anthony was on Saturday, and for some reason, Andy felt like he would be doing his brother a grave dishonor if he attended. So he decided he wouldn't. But he needed to get Aiden well and back to his old self, starting with rehab and getting all those drugs out of his system.
