"Ariel had been having the time of her life at the resort with the girls. Spa days, fine dining, even snorkeling—the past few days had been nothing short of amazing. It was incredibly generous of Cole and Kat to cover the extra days as a thank-you for being part of their special day.

Still, no matter how much she tried to relax, her mind kept drifting back to Aiden. "I'm broken, Ariel. I can't give you what you want." His words echoed in her head, tightening something in her chest. She was never looking for perfection—just someone to build a respectable life with. But now? She didn't know what to expect.

"Ariel?" Arianna's voice pulled her back to the present. "Are you alright?"

She offered a small smile. "I'm well, no need to worry."

They were lounging in the jacuzzi, glasses of champagne in hand, letting the warmth soothe their bodies. Tomorrow, they'd be heading home—back to their lives, back to their responsibilities. At least for now, they had this moment to just be—free from the pressures of society.

As they sipped and chatted, someone brought up Cole and Kat. What were they doing right now? No doubt lost in the bliss of their honeymoon.

The thought made Ariel exhale softly. Must be nice, she mused as she sank deeper into the bubbling water, letting herself enjoy the fleeting calm before reality pulled her back in.
