SYNOPSIS

Josie Castillo always tried to do the best she could to make up for her mistakes, before Hurricane Tyler hit landfall in 2005, she was 15 only caring about getting through the day. Reality set in when she lost her childhood best friend, Maria to untreated injuries. Josie wanted to do right by Maria by saving other people, She practically ended up getting married to her job as an EMT in Los Angeles taking every shift she could, even the graveyard, She has been an EMT for five years, and she had every chance to become a paramedic but didn't want to be a firefighter, instead sticking what she knows best.

When Josie gets so good at her job, it's surprising when someone else ends up doing it better than her, so much that it bothers her. She never had any issues with the 118, they were all doing the same job as her, she just had issues with their new paramedic, Eddie Diaz, and it's not the problem she would expect
