I Shot The Clerk?
THE FIVE SAT ON the bench against the wall, playing with the ends of her rings. The five of them had been brought in for interviews, Josie was trying to keep her composure, she was angry and confused. She knows for sure that the cops probably aren't gonna believe them that didn't have anything to do with the money.
Even with eyewitnesses and evidence that they are innocent, the cops are gonna believe what they wanna believe. And they thought she and the 118 conspired to rob a bank.
"So what's gonna happen if they think we did this?" Derek Reese spoke up, she turned her head to look at him.
"They think we did armed robbery, we will go to jail," Josie says, his brown eyes widening in fear.
"Relax man, we didn't do anything." Clem reassures him, and he shook his head. "But they think we did." He reminds them.
"No. Someone at the bank put that money in the rigs." Alex added, sitting up and adjusting her shirt. The two men looked over at her.
"How do you know that?" Clem's wonders, she scoffed. "Think about it, it would be so easy to get the money away from the bank without a trace," Alex tells him.
"Frame the first responders, getaway clean." Clem's added, she snapped her fingers. "Exactly." She says.
"Probably not the best idea to theorize about a crime we may be put away for." Levi reminds them, and Josie nods her head.
"My wife is gonna be mad at me," Reese says aloud, sighing heavily.
"Why are you worried about that?" Josie wondered, he shrugged. "Because I love her, and I don't want her to worry." He tells her.
"You know you're the only person I know that talks about his wife almost every day." Alex says he chuckles.
"What is it a bad thing for a man to love his wife?" He wonders, the three of them chuckled at his offense.
"Oh, man." Levi breathed out, and his brown eyes widened. "I'm gonna have to go to the courthouse, If I get convicted I can't have a wedding." He tells them.
"You're getting married?" Reese asks him, the three turn to look at him. Clem smack's him lightly on the shoulder. "Keep up with the plot man." He remarks.
"I don't know what's happening anymore, I'm gonna stop talking." He pouts leaning back against the wall, placing gum in his mouth, and crossing his arms.
"Prison wedding," Alex speaks up, Josie covers her mouth to stifle her laugh. "It would be cute if you used toilet paper as a veil." Alex jokes with him, he shakes his head.
"Hilarious, they're gonna shave our heads." He grumbled, the black door opened as two detectives walked out. Looking down the row of the five paramedics, Josie sat up straight as they stared at her.
