JOSIE WIPED HER ARM off, having been the unfortunate victim of a senior prank by the local high school, getting pelted with flour bombs was not the highlight of her 24-hour shift. She walked into the engine room of the house.
"Left you a sprinkle donut, Castillo," Reese tells her, as she touches her chest. "Aww, you shouldn't have." She says in a fake upbeat tone. She smirked walking over to the white table, biting into the treat.
She moaned at the sweet. "Taste like success." She grumbled.
"Where's your other half?" Clem asks her, she chuckles wiping her mouth and pointing at the locker room. "Graduation season." She tells them.
"Oh I remember that, we got paintballed last year by a group of frats, they thought we were a rival group. "Reese recalls to her, she shook her head. "Suck's to suck."
Josie finished on her donut brushing off her shirt. She walks to the driver's side of her ambulance and sits in the seat. Checking the clipboard of the items of inventory she would be running through this afternoon.
"Have to refill those." She mumbles to herself, checking off on bandages.
A shadow cast onto her rig through the mid-morning sunlight, she looked up from her seat to see a brunette woman wearing a yellow shirt and jeans.
"Excuse me, can I help you?" Josie wondered jumping out of the front seat, the woman turned to look at her, and she furrowed her brow for a moment recognizing her. "Shanon..hi." She says.
The woman chuckled. "Bet I wasn't someone you were expecting." She says with a smile. Josie shook her head with a kind smile.
"No it's okay, do you need help with anything?" Josie wonders, Shanon gulp shaking her head.
"I just wanted to give you something." She tells her, she reaches into her leather purse pulling out an envelope. Josie furrowed her brow confused, she took it from her. Thumbing the edges of the paper, she shook her head looking up.
"What is this?" She wonders.
"It's for when you are ready." She states, Josie raises a brow. "Ready?" She mumbled, and the brunette inhaled deeply.
"Listen no one else knows this yet and I feel like you should." Shannon start's off, Josie looked at her.
"Me and Eddie have been talking about a divorce. " Shannon tells her. Her lips parted as she stared dumbfounded, her heart pounded and fluttered.
"Oh. I'm sorry to hear that, that must be difficult for you." Josie sympathized, Shannon shook her head at the words. "I think more for Eddie than me." She admits.
