Say It Right

A BANNER hung above the locker room, in bright yellow paint the words. Congrats Levi, his wedding is tomorrow and most everyone in the EMT house is going. So much had been happening with Josie it had slipped her mind about her friend getting married.

"And there is an open bar right?" Clem asked, sitting at the same table as the rookie. Levi nodded. "Yeah, I'm pretty sure," Levi confirmed.

"One of your cousins is single?" Clem asked him with a wink. "What? no..don't use my wedding for your weird playboy stuff."

"It's called using your assists." Clem's shrugged, and the dark-haired man shook his head.

"Okay leave him alone now," Josie spoke up, coffee in hand smiling at the both of them. He stood up walking away. She slid him a maple log.  "Thanks, I don't even think they really care about the reason for the wedding." He says.

"I do, and I'm more than happy for you and Liz," Josie says to him. He looked around her and furrowed his brows. "Where's Alex?" He asks her.

"She found a dog outside and is feeding it." Josie shrugged, he raised a brow. "You seem happier." He adds, she smirked.

"Why wouldn't I be?" Josie asked him, he crossed his arms leaning back. "I don't know you have been pretty tired these last few days." He says.

"It's Eddie isn't it?" Levi asked, she coughed choking on coffee. Holding her chest, her eyes wide looking at him.

"What?" She asked through. "You and Eddie, you made up it's all good now with you guys?" Levi asked. She sighed in relief, nodding.

"Yeah, we did we uh made up," Josie stated nonchalantly, and made out, she thought. She clears her throat.

"Good, so no more drama?" He asks. "As far as I can tell," Josie tells him, biting into her sprinkle donut.

She hadn't told anyone about her and Eddie, there wasn't exactly a rush to tell anyone. It was going to be harder for him to tell Christopher, she didn't know if the boy would like the idea of another woman with his dad so early after losing his mom.

And Josie knew she couldn't replace his mom, and she didn't want to. She cared about Christopher and wanted him to be happy. But that wouldn't be enough, she can't just waltz in and expect to be welcomed by him.

Music brought her back to reality. Reese and Clems started to dance to Get Low by Lil Jon, dancing, rolling their stomachs, and doing different moves as the music played loudly.

Wolf whistles and cheers from everyone sounded as they did as the song said and got low to the floor. Josie clapped her hands laughing at them, Alex walked into the house with a small brown and white chihuahua dog.
