I Hope You Can Dance

SHE WISHED that she could say that having Chimney as the Captain made the 118 fun, she would be lying. He was power-hungry and frankly was strict for no reason, Josie had walked in on them doing a hose training and showing how to properly do it.

He even tried to enforce some of his new rules onto the triage crew, she simply turned around and left for somewhere else. She cared about the older man, but right now he was starting to test her patience.

Josie gripped her wheel as they drove to their call, another duo call with the 118. A teacher drowning in a vat of chocolate, Allah something out of Charlie and the Cholate Factory, she thought. She and Levi walked behind the crew, Alex staying behind with a gurney for the man.

"We tried pulling him out but he sank even deeper." The lead worker explains to them, that Josie rolled her sleeve's up of her grey button-down, and switched for the cooler winter they were having at the moment.

"Our chocolate is the richest in the country which unfortunately makes it the heaviest." She explains, Josie cleared her throat. "How long has he been in there exactly?" She wonders.

"We have been timing it, about eight minutes or so." The woman informs them. She nodded her head, stopping on the platform and seeing a man in a vat of chocolate, his face unrecognizable from the sweet liquid.

"Sir! How are you feeling in there?" Chimney asks him, and he sputters out. "Warm!"

"We had to leave the heat on, my foreman was afraid if we didn't the whole batch would just harden up." The lead worker explains. He nodded his head.

"Then we would be chiseling him out." Chimney concludes. "Alright let's get to work!" He shouts. She stood off, letting Buck and Eddie through with a ladder, placing it across the vat. Levi grunted as climbed next to Hen, assisting with what she needed.

She reached in feeling the man's pulse through her gloves. "The pressure on his body is probably slowing his circulation," Hen says, Levi touching the man's face.

"The warmth is probably stopping him from going unconscious, combined with the slow heart rate. "He added to her, she nodded in agreement. "But If we don't get him out soon, he will go under." She concluded.

"Alright, boy let's pull him out." Chimney orders them. Buck rolled his sleeves up as he crawled across the ladder. "Hey, can you reach your hands above the surface?" Eddie wonders.

The man cries tears as he answers. "N.o..no." He says.

"Alright, we are gonna have to grab." Buck grunts as he settles on the ladder safely. "Under his arms." Eddie rolls up his sleeve and dips as the both of them dip into the chocolate.
