(It's a little slow for a few episodes. Mariah doesn't rly go through much for a few. I also go through the first two seasons quite quickly. I stick to the important stuff, mostly ab her or what she's in and I skip a lot. Kol comes in in season 3 and it'll be more detailed but until then it's ab Mariah. U can skip ahead but I'd read it so u learn ab Mariah, know her personality and her life :)

(Mariah talking)
"Dear diary,
My name is Mariah Gilbert. Today marks the first day of my junior year in high school. It's also the first time I'm going back to school since my parents died in a car accident a few months ago. Not only will I have to see my Tyler for the first time in a week since we broke up, today I'll also be faced with a million apologetic looks, 'I'm sorry' s and 'how are you's. All will be miserable, but at least I'm not alone. I have Elena and Jeremy, or at lease Elena since Jeremy hasn't been the most brotherly since our parents accident. But it's ok. It hurts. It hurts us all. I'm just hoping that I can get through the days and eventually the pain won't be as painful anymore."

"Mariah!" Elena banged on the bathroom that separated the twins rooms. "We share a bathroom, remember? U can't hog it all morning" she told her. Mariah opened the bathroom door with a curling iron to her head, gesturing for her to come in.

"Toast. I can make toast" Jenna, their aunt told Elena and Mariah as they all stood in the kitchen.
"It's all ab the coffee Jenna" elena told her, pouring two cups of coffee
"Is there coffee?" Jeremy asked as he walked into the kitchen.
"Oo..gimme" Mariah told Elena and she handed her her cup.
"It's ur fist day of school and I'm totally unprepared" Jenna panicked slightly as she got used to being a parent. She held out money to the three teenagers "lunch money?" She asked.
"I'm good" Elena told her as Jeremy and Mariah took the money from Jenna
"Anything else? A number two pencil?" Jenna asked.
"Don't u have a big presentation today?" Elena asked Jenna
"I'm meeting with my thesis advisor..at" Jenna checked her watch "now. Crap" she stated. She pulled her hair out of the bun it was in. 
"Go. We'll be fine" Elena told her. She turned to Jeremy "u ok?" She asked. Jeremy scoffed
"Don't start" he told her, walking away. Elena sighed, turning to Mariah to ask her the same question
"Ah" Mariah put her hand out, stopping her "there's gonna be enough of that question today. I don't need u annoying me with it too" she told her, walking away

Elena, Mariah and their best friend Bonnie sat in the car as Bonnie drive them to school
"So grams is telling me that I'm psychic. Our ancestors were from Salem. Witches and all that, I know. Crazy. But she's going on and on and I'm like, put this women in home already" Bonnie ranted. "But then I start thinking, I predicted Obama and I predicted heath ledger and I still think Florida will break off and turn into little resort islands" she paused, looking at Elena who was looking out the window.
"Elena" Mariah waved her hand in front of her sisters face "back in the car" she chuckled. Elena shook her head
"I did it again. I'm sorry Bonnie" Elena told her. "U were telling me that..."
"Bonnie is psychic now" Mariah told her, chuckling. Bonnie smiled.
"Right. Ok, Then predict something" Elena told Bonnie. "Ab mariah and I" she told her. Bonnie smiled, looking at Elena and then mariah through the rear view mirror.
"I see" Bonnie stated but stopped as a bird slammed into the car. Bonnie gasped, swerving to the side of the road and coming to a stop. She looked at Elena
"Omg. Elena r u ok?"
"It's ok. I'm fine" Elena told her
"It was like a bird or something. It came out of nowhere" Bonnie told her
"Really. I..I can't be freaked out by cars anymore" Elena assured her.
"Well I'm fine too. Thanks for asking" Mariah told them. Bonnie looked at Mariah and gave her an I'm sorry look. She sighed
"I predict that this years gonna be kickass" Bonnie told them both "that all the sad and dark times are over and u will be beyond happy" she told the two. The twins smiled at her, nodding their heads. Bonnie pulled back into the road and continued to drive.
