"hey. Is everything okay?" Bonnie asked as she, Caroline and Mariah walked up to elena

"Yeah. Why wouldn't it be?" Elena asked

"Well, Mariah told me you had to move out to stay away from Jeremy." Bonnie spoke

"Matt is at the house staying with him right now to make sure he keeps all of his hunter stuff in control. He's OK." Elena told her

"But are you? I mean, clearly, they don't have a flat iron at hotel Salvatore." Caroline spoke, looking at the bun in Elena's hair

"Oh -- I was in a rush. I mean -- look, do you girls have any plans tonight? I'm in desperate need of some girl talk." Elena told them as she took her hair out

"I'm in. Shane taught me some small spells I've been wanting to try." Bonnie told them

"Oh, creepy professor guy is just Shane now." Caroline chuckled

"He's not creepy." Bonnie told her

"We're not judging." Elena told her

"I am." Care stated

"Don't listen to her. So, girls' night? We can raid the Salvatore wine cellar" elena asked

"Um, are you sure that Stefan and Damon are cool with us crashing at their place?" Caroline asked

"I can't go home because my brother is trying to kill me. So their place is mine now, too. I'll see you in a bit." Elena told them before walking away.

"Ok...what's wrong with u?" Bonnie asked, turning and looking at Mariah as she leaned on the lockers. She raised her brows

"What do u mean?" She asked, shrugging

"Ya..U haven't talked all morning. What's up?" Care asked. Mariah sighed, standing up and crossing her arms

"You'll be happy to know that kols gone" she told them. "We broke up. He wanted me to be a vampire and I don't want to be one, and he didn't want to love me just to watch me die..so he left" she told them. Bonnie and Caroline looked at each other guiltily "don't feel bad. I know u all hated him anyway..especially u, Bonnie" she rolled her eyes, turning to walk away

"Hey" Bonnie spoke softly, grabbing her arm, stopping her "I'm sorry, M"

"No. ur not. U made everyone believe they'd lose me if I fell in love with Kol and then when we got together, u all made me want to go away...because of how much u hate him. He didn't even do anything to u, and u didn't even give him a chance...But now it's too late, cause he's gone." She scoffed sadly. "So much for soulmate" She stated before walking away

"We'll r u at least coming tonight?" Caroline called out as Mariah walked away, not answering. Bonnie turned and gave care a look and Care sighed.

"U need to come. Look, I know u and I haven't been on the best of terms lately.." Elena spoke to Mariah as she followed her through the hallways

"Lately...more like since the beginning of last year" Mariah stated

"We'll that's bc u hated Stephan and Damon"

"Hate..present tense" Mariah corrected. Elena sighed

"Exactly. And..I hate kol. We both have been in conflicting, torturing, exciting, adrenaline filled relationships and we haven't even had the chance to talk ab it with each other"

"That's bc every time I bring up Kol..u tell me I should break up with him" Mariah told Elena. Elena sighed

"I know..I know..and...I thought ab it, and I realized that, the only way I'm gonna lose u is if I'm dead, cause I can't lose anyone else. Ur my sister and I love u..so much. I just.." she sighed "I let my fear of losing u and anger towards kol and his family get inbetween us and..." she grabbed Mariah's hands "u and I are forever. We're sisters. We're family. We're an unbreakable bond and I miss u. Things have been so much harder for me bc I don't have u to talk to..so..I'm willing to give Kol the benefit of the doubt. He has saved u multiple times and seems to make u happy, so..I'll give" Elena told her. Mariah pulled her hands away
