After a trip to the hospital, mariah was home with Elena, Matt and Stephan when Elijah showed up, offering a deal.

"All we need is to take that stake away from him. Once he's been disarmed, the weapon's in my possession, my family will scatter to the ends of the Earth and Alaric will follow us." Elijah told them sitting at the dining room table with Elena and Mariah, Stephan and Matt standing behind them

"And you'll just run?" Stephan asked, sitting next to Elena

"We've done it before. Klaus and Rebekah spent the better part of a thousand years evading my father. What's another half century while Elena is able to live out the rest of her natural life?" Elijah told them

"We've finally stopped him, Elijah. After everything that he's done to us, I can't just let you bring him back." Elena told him

"I give you my word, Elena. I will not revive Klaus within yours nor even within your children's lifetimes. Perhaps that will finally teach him some manners."

"Why should she trust you? All you've done is screw her over" matt spoke

"And for that, I am deeply ashamed. But know this, she could have been dead the instant I walked through that door tonight, so Elena, I leave it to you to make the decision whether to trust me or not." Elijah told them

Not!" Damon spoke over the phone making Mariah roll her eyes "Hello? Did that concussion give you brain damage?! His lunatic siblings will kill you the first chance they get!" He spoke and Mariah rolled her eyes

"Rebekah and Kol will honor the terms. If you return Klaus' body to us, Elena will come to no harm." Elijah told them "Do we have a deal?"

"No! No, no, no, no! Did I mention no?" Damon answered for them

"Elena, it's up to you." Stephan told her

"Oh, come on!" Damon complained

"Why do you want Klaus's body?" Mariah asked

"He's my brother. We remain together." Elijah answered. Elena sighed

"We have a deal." She told him.

Jeremy stood in front of the group on the phone with Alaric
"Yes?" Alaric spoke as he answered the call

"I know where Klaus' body is." Jeremy told him

"Good. Tell me"

"Damon's on his way to bury him in the woods off Route 12. I'll text you with the specifics."

"Thank you, Jeremy. You're doing the right thing for your sister."

"I know." Jeremy stated before hanging up the phone and looking at the group "He bought it." He told them.

"U want to what?" Mariah asked as she spoke to Matt in the kitchen. Stephan, Jeremy and Alaric had already left.

"Jeremy and I want to take Elena out of town. Get her away from all of this" Matt answered, speaking quietly

"Matt..she won't go for that, and u know it" Mariah told him

"That's why I have this" he told her, holding up some powder in a ziplock bag. Mariah looked at him annoyed

"Ur gonna drug her?" She asked angrily

"Mariah. Ur the one who's always been so against all this vampire stuff. U know she isn't safe with them. They keep bringing bad things into her life. They've almost gotten her killed a dozen times. They're gonna get her killed. U out of everyone should agree with us on this. U hate Stephan and Damon the most"
