"U go on and have fun learning how to feed...well, not too much fun." Mariah told Elena as she walked around her room, packing a bag.

"Why r u packing?" Elena asked

"Kol is taking me to Chicago for the weekend" Mariah smiled and Elena looked at her
disapprovingly "relax. I'll be back..in one piece..in two days" Mariah told her

"U can't go with him to Chicago, Mariah. He's dangerous. U remember when he bashed u over the head and kidnapped u?"

"U remember when Damon kidnapped u?"

"This isn't ab Damon"

"No..but it should be. Kol has done nothing wrong, Elena. Damon however...always does wrong ok? He burns everything he sees and u will be one of them...oh wait" she gasped "u already have" she fumed

"Mariah" Elena fumed

"Am I wrong? At least my love for Kol hasn't gotten me dead or put in danger" she scoffed

"It will. He's an original vampire. Not only does he probably have thousands of enemies, but If he crosses klaus, klaus will kill u to get back at him or just kill u for fun."

"Well I'm not afraid of klaus"

"Well u should be. He can get to anyone Mariah"

"Is this ab klaus or Kol because I can't tell anymore?" Mariah scoffed, grabbing her bag

"It's ab u" Elena told her, grabbing her hand and stopping her from going for the door "Bonnie said"

"I don't care ab what Bonnie said over a year ago"

"We'll I do. She said u change. U become someone else and u choose Kol over all of us..over me..and over Jeremy"

"Ur being dramatic." Mariah scoffed

"Bonnie has never been wrong Mariah"

"Omg Elena!" Mariah yelled. "This is why I was so quick to get away for a couple days...to get away from u..ur drama..and petty opinions" she scoffed, going to leave when Elena grabbed her wrist

"Just promise me u won't let him turn u" Elena spoke. Mariah looked at her angrily as she scoffed

"And now ur eavesdropping on my conversations with him?!" She asked angrily. Elena looked at her like that wasn't important. Mariah scoffed at her "yeah..one..I don't plan on becoming a vampire, ok?..and two..what I do with my life is none of ur business, and not ur decision, so back off" she told her before leaving

Mariah sat in the car with Kol driving after they got off the plane
"Ok..so what r we doing?" She asked

"I am going to show u all of my favorite places in Chicago..starting with my favorite bars and favorite things to do..and the most beautiful spots." He smiled

"Deal" Mariah nodded with a smile. "But why r we rly here?" She asked. Kol furrowed his brows, looking at her "look, I believe u wanted to get away...but I also believe there's something else u wanted to do here. What is it?" Mariah asked. Kol sighed, looking back at the road

"There is an old witch here..she is a siphon. Since siphoning witches r so rare, I was going to ask her some questions..like what bloodlines they mostly originate in" he told her. Mariah looked at him shocked

"Ur trying to find my family?" She asked and Kol nodded. Mariah smiled "why?" She chuckled

"Bc I know deep down u want to know where u come from. So...we're gonna find out" he told her. Mariah smiled "and I hid some things here from Niklaus. I was gonna try and dig them up" he told her. Mariah nodded her head
