The next day, Kol sat in a chair in the house when klaus walked in
"U aren't fleeing like Elijah?" Klaus asked. Kol smiled
"And why would I do that when I'm having too much fun here?" he shrugged
"The girl ur having so much fun with tried to kill us all last night. U rly call that fun?" He asked and Kol shrugged "don't tell me ur falling for the witch girl"
"I haven't known her long enough to be in love, brother." Kol told him.
"But u fancy her?" Klaus asked. Kol stood up
"Just...let me have my fun with mariah...and u leave her alone." He told him. Klaus smiled
"I make no promises If she tries to kill us again" klaus shrugged "but u have fun, brother" he smiled as he walked out. Kol nodded, taking a sip of his drink.

Mariah sat in the mistic grill with some coffee in front of her. She had her head in her hands, worrying for Alaric who was in jail while Elena tried to clear his name. She raised her head when Kol sat down in front of her
"U alright darling?" Kol asked, actually seeming a little worried. Mariah sighed, slightly annoyed as she picked up her coffee and took a brink of it, ignoring him "I thought I'd find u here" he smiled briefly "u wanna tell me what last night was ab?"
"I already told u why I daggered u" Mariah told him
"That's not what I'm talking ab. I'm talking ab u slitting ur own wrist, telling me to kill u" he spoke, slightly angry, gesturing to the bandage on Mariah's wrist. Mariah glanced at her wrist and shrugged
"I'm trying to figure u out, alright?" She admitted. Kol furrowed his brows "u come here and immediately take a liking to me, u ask me to the ball, u flirt, u save my life, u spike my drink with vervain..u say u like me but.." she scoffed "It's rly hard for me to believe u originals actually have feelings..so..I wanted to see if you'd kill me if u were given the chance" she shrugged.
"U were willing to risk ur life over a hunch?" Kol scoffed slightly
"I wasn't risking it. I would have stopped u if u tried to hurt me...call it a test" Mariah told him before taking a sip of her coffee. "Now, if you'll excuse me" she placed some money on the table "I have to go help get one of the only family members I have left out of jail" she stated, grabbing her bag and standing up. Kol stood up with her
"Wait" he stopped her, grabbing her arm lightly "I have a proposal for u" he told her with a slight smile
"Oh rly?" Mariah raising her brows and Kol nodded "what is it?" She asked
"I've been alive a long time. I've spent a lot of time around witches..I can help u learn" he told her
"U want to spend ur free time teaching me spells?" Mariah asked. Kol shrugged
"And spending time with u" he smiled. Mariah rolled her eyes
"I don't need an originals help" she told him, turning around and staring to walk out
"Think ab it" Kol told her. Mariah stopped briefly before continuing to leave.

"Are u ok?" Mariah asked Alaric as she and Elena walked to the door
"Yeah. Yeah I'm ok" he nodded. Mariah and Elena walked over, both of them hugging him. Alaric wrapped his arms around the two of them, looking down.

"What have u been doing all day?" Mariah asked Elena as they walked back into the kitchen
"Trying to clear Alarics name" Elena answered
"And I guess it worked" Mariah shrugged
"But now we still have a killer on the loose" Elena stated
"And that journal? What does it say?" Mariah asked. Elena picked it up
"I haven't read it yet" Elena told her. "But I'm ab too" she told her. Mariah nodded
