Mariah sat on her bed on the phone with Bonnie's
"Idk how to bring Kol back...but...I might have an idea of how u can get more power to do it" Bonnie told her. Mariah furrowed her brows

"How?" Mariah asked

"On the other side..I talked to some dead witches..they said there r these things called dark objects..they hold large amounts of power inside them. Usually, they're meant to do pretty bad things..."

"Death by a thousand cuts" Mariah whispered, remembering something

"What?" Bonnie asked making Mariah snap out of it

"I'm familiar with dark objects. So what..am I supposed to just channel them. I still don't have a spell to bring him back" Mariah told her

"If I happen to come across any witches on the other side, I'll ask them if they know anything, but that's all I have right now. I'm sorry" Bonnie told her. Mariah shook her head

"No. It's ok. I think I might know where to get a couple dark objects." Mariah told her before furrowing her brows "wait..Bonnie how did u bring Jeremy back to life?" She asked. Bonnie sighed

"Mariah, don't go there." She shook her head

"Bonnie. How?" Mariah asked

"I used expression. With expression, u can pretty much do anything..but using expression, u draw power from sacrifice. Mariah, there's a reason why I died bringing Jeremy back to life"

"But what if I can.."

"No" Bonnie interrupted her "don't go there, m. Expression is what killed me. It's what freed Silas and started a lot of this mess, ok? Don't start to practice it. Promise me" Bonnie told her sternly. Mariah sighed

"Fine. I promise" she told her

"Good. Look, I didn't know Kol very well, but even he seemed to know a lot ab witches. He kept u away from dark magic, he'd probably want u to stay away from expression too" Bonnie told her. Mariah looked down

"Yeah, I know" she nodded sadly "but there's no way I won't have to do dark magic to bring Kol back. It's bound to happen"

"Just promise me u won't go down the wrong path" Bonnie told her. Mariah nodded

"Promise" she told her "look, I gotta go. If I'm gonna get those dark objects, I better get on the road" she told her as she stood up, starting to get packing

"Ok" Bonnie nodded "call me if u need anything"

"U too..and Bonnie?"

"Yeah"

"I'm rly happy ur back" Mariah smiled "I missed u" she whispered. Bonnie smiled

"I missed u too" she told her.

Mariah packed her bags and brought them outside to the car
"Leaving?" Elijah asked as he stepped outside, standing on the porch

"I'll be back..I'm just running to Chicago to try and find something to bring kol back" Mariah told him. Elijah nodded, stepping off the porch

"When do u think you'll be back?"

"A couple days" Mariah shrugged "I'll try to be quick"

"Do u know where ur heading?"

"Yep..and I know what I'm looking for..sort of" she shrugged "keep me updated?" She asked. Elijah nodded, looking down. He seemed nervous that she wouldn't come back.

"If ur coming back...why r u taking all of ur things?Mariah sighed

"One..I didn't bring much to start with and I need all my stuff...and..two, Elijah..our deal is still in place..I will be back to help u with Hayley, just like I expect u to help me with Kol." She spoke and Elijah nodded "u have my word that I'll come back" she told him. Elijah nodded
