(Ep-16)

-Mariah stood in the witch house with Jeremy, Alaric and john as they waited for information ab Elena..and if she was still alive. Mariah and Jeremy both paced back and forth until Stephan walked into the house, carrying Elena.

"Elena" Mariah and Jeremy gasped as stephan carried her into the house and laid her down on the dusty couch. The two looked down at the bite mark on Elena's neck. She was dead.

"Now what?" Jeremy asked.

"Now we wait" Stephan answered before moving away from Elena slightly. Mariah and jeremy moved over. Mariah sat down besides Elena on the couch and held her cold hand in hers as Jeremy kneeled down besides them on the ground, placing his hand on Elena's arm. A few minutes later, John walked out of the house and Elena woke up with a gasp.

"Elena" mariah and Jeremy sighed. Elena hurried and sat up, looking around nervously

"Ur ok, ur ok" mariah assured her happily

"No" Elena shook her head, tears filling her eyes "no, I'm not" she told her. She sniffled "klaus turned Jenna into a vampire" she cried making mariah, Jeremy and Alarics face drop "he used her as the vampire in the sacrifice" Elena started to sob, tears pouring from her eyes. Tears watered mariah, Jeremy and Alarics eyes as they realized where this was going "she's dead" Elena cried "Jenna's dead" she told them.

"And then there was Jenna" Kol spoke to mariah as they stood a few feet away, watching the whole encounter. Mariah watched as tears started to come from her eyes as Elena and Jeremy had pulled her into a hug "losing ur aunt..almost losing ur sister. U didn't even know it, but u had almost lost ur best friend and ex-lover too..all because of klaus michealson...and yet" Kol turned and looked at Mariah "u still chose to leave with him" he spoke. Mariah wiped the sad expression off of her face and looked at Kol angrily

"U want to break me. U want me to choose the witches over the michealsons, but I won't" she took a step closer to him "u cannot break me.." she told him sternly. Kol smiled

"But we have barely begun...darling" he told her. Mariah's face dropped slightly, realizing what she was in for. She turned to see Alaric, herself, Jeremy and Elena all crying over losing Jenna "losing Jenna wasn't what broke u..." Kol spoke. Mariah turned her head to look at him again "but won't worry...we'll get there" he told her.-

Klaus stood at the end of Mariah's bed with his arms crossed

"What's wrong with her?" He asked as Elijah walked in

"The witches put a curse on her until the next full moon. She is in a magically induced coma. Sabine said she will either wake by the next full moon or she will wake on her own, but until then, we no longer have a witch" Elijah told him.

"What kind of curse coma?" Klaus asked, seeming worried "what is happening to her in there?" He asked. Elijah furrowed his brows at klaus slightly before shrugging it off

"Punishment...as Sabine called it" Elijah answered "she said that when Mariah wakes, she will no longer be on our side" Elijah told him. "And I worry she may be right. There r a lot of memories Mariah can be tortured with, the death of our brother being the biggest one of all. I worry..they will break her" Elijah admitted. Klaus looked at Mariah for a moment before shaking his head

"No" he told Elijah "they will not break her. She is stronger than u realize, Elijah. Not only that, but she would never turn on us if it meant losing kol forever" he told him.

"We don't even know if we can bring him back" Elijah told him

"We may not be able too" klaus looked at him before nodding to Mariah "but she can." He told him "she's strong. Very strong. She will wake and she will be even angrier than she previously was. She will channel that anger towards the witches most of all for reminding her of all she has lost. Then she will bring our brother back, and like u said" klaus put his hand on Elijah's shoulder "we will be a family again...all of us" he told him, glancing at Mariah
