-Mariah walked down the streets of a city alone. The time was during the 1500s. She wore a long, flowy dress and her hair was curled tightly, half of it pulled out of her face in a braid. Everyone around her that walked down the streets of Chicago were also dressed the same. Mariah walked alone, holding her bag in her hands that had soft white gloves on them. She approached a crosswalk when she turned her head abruptly at the sound of a scream. Mariah furrowed her brows, looking around her at the other people and no one else seemed to notice it. Mariah began to walk down the street, making her way to a more quiet street as she made her way in the direction on the scream. She came to a quiet street corner and paused, looking around her in confusion before turning around only to bump directly into a man, Kol. Mariah gasped loudly as Kol had his hands on her arms. Kol chuckled

"R u alright, love? What's a girl like u doing all alone out here?" He asked, smiling at her. Mariah took a step back from him, looking at him confused. She looked passed him to see an empty alley way

"What we're u doing?" She asked. Kol turned and glanced behind him before looking at her again with his usual grin

"Just taking a short cut" he shrugged as he answered. Mariah continued to look at him confused before looking around her

"I could have sword I heard a girl scream" she told him. Kol looked around with a smile

"I didn't hear anything, darling. And.." he paused, looking at the crowds of people down the street "seems like they didn't hear it either" he pointed out. Mariah looked around her confused. She let out a breath of confusion before looking at Kol again

"Im..sorry for..running into u. I uh..I'm gonna go" she told him, turning to walk away. Kol reached out and grabbed her hand

"W..wait" he spoke. He grabbed her hand and Mariah's glove came off of her hand making her gasp and pull her hand close to her. Kol furrowed his brows "r u alright?" He asked. Mariah nodded

"I just.." she sighed and reached her other hand out, the one that still had a glove on it towards kol "I would just like my glove back, please" she told him as kindly as she could from how nervous she obviously was. Kol furrowed his brows at her before holding out the glove for her. Mariah took it and quickly placed it on her bare hand before taking a breath of relief

"May I have ur name?" Kol asked making Mariah look at him again. She looked at him before furrowing her brows and scoffing

"Why?" She asked. Kol smiled and shrugged

"Because I want to know the name of the most beautiful women I've ever seen" he answered. Mariah looked at him, caught off guard. She stood silently for a moment before snapping out of it

"Um..Mariah" she answered. Kol smiled, holding out his hand. Mariah furrowed her brows before placing her hand into his

"Kol" he told her, leaning down and placing a kiss on Mariah's covered hand. Mariah was stood anxious but trying to hide it, her heart beating quickly from both him, and him touching her hands. She smiled, nodding as he stood up straight again. She turned to walk away before stopping. She paused for a moment before turning around to face kol again only to see him gone. Mariah furrowed her brows, looking around her in confusion as she tried to find him but he was nowhere in sight. Mariah let out a breath of confusion before turning and walking away, walking back to the crowds.
In the alleyway where kol had once come from, he now stood over the body of a women, a dead women. He looked down at her for a moment before lifting her up and taking her away to hide her better—

Mariah opened her eyes and sat up in her bed with a confused expression on her face
"Huh" she hummed in confusion.

Kol, in Kalebs body walked down the street alone. He spotted a girl in a sundress and smirked, waving his hand to create a gust of wind making her dress fly up. She quickly pushed it back down, embarrassed while Kol chuckled
