Blood In The Water (Pt1)

Mariah opened her eyes to see the ceiling to her bedroom in the Michealson compound above her. She looked around as she sat up, turning as she felt an iv sticking out of her arm. She moved her hand over, grabbing the tube and pulling it out of her arm, cringing slightly at it. She dropped it and stood up, looking around her. She turned her head to her bedside table to see her phone. She moved over and picked it up. She looked at the top of her screen to see the date and her eyes widened. It had been over a month. For her, it had felt like a couple of hours. She looked at the text messages that had been collecting over time. One text in particular caught her eye

"The other side is falling apart. If u want me to bring Kol back, u have to send him here now! I'll only be able to hold it for so long, Mariah. That or bring him back yourself, but u don't have much time. Hurry!" Bonnie texted her. Mariah's face dropped, seeing that text was sent a few hours earlier. Mariah looked around her, not feeling Kol. He usually stood by her. Where was he,

"No" Mariah panicked. She hurried over to her dresser, opening the drawer and pulling out one of kols shirts before grabbing her grimoires. She sat on the ground, shuffling through them "no no no no" she panicked, not finding a spell she could use. She looked up, deciding she had to do something. She sat down on the ground and held his tshirt tightly, closing her eyes and focusing.

Esther stood on the other side, trying to cast a spell to bring her, Kol and Finn back to life with the little time she had when Kol stopped, placing his hand on his chest

"Somethings happening" she stated, looking at the other two nervously. Esther opened her eyes, seeing Kol started to fade away

"No" Esther panicked, grabbing onto his hand, reciting a spell. After a moment, she opened her eyes "Mariah is trying to protect u from destruction" she told him. Kols eyes widened

"Mariah's awake?" He asked

"She's trying to bring u back to life with expression" she stated and kols face dropped

"What?" He asked

"She doesn't feel like there's enough time. It's her only option. U must stop her" Esther told him. Kol looked at her confused

"How?" He asked

"Go to her, Kol. Go now!" She yelled. Kol nodded before running away.

Mariah sat still trying to do the spell when she stopped, feeling Kol enter the room. She opened her eyes and looked around her, setting down the shirt
"Kol" she spoke as she stood up. She started to panic "kol, u have to get to Bonnie in mystic falls. She can bring u back before the other side is destroyed. She will. U have to hurry." She told him. Kol moved closer to her

"I don't trust Bonnie, darling" he whispered even tho she couldn't hear or see him. He placed his hand on her cheek even tho she couldn't feel him "but weirdly, right now, I trust that my mother will" he caressed her cheek "this is what we've been waiting for. I will see u soon, lover" he whispered before pulling his hand away and leaving the room. Mariah sighed, thinking he went to mystic falls to go to Bonnie, thinking he'd be back soon, thinking he'd be ok. Mariah closed her eyes, putting her hand on her chest as she tried to slow her heart rate

"You'll be ok" she nodded, whispering to herself "you'll be ok" she nodded again.

The marching band played in the streets as the party raged on for father Kieran. Children and adults alike dance in the street with umbrellas as Klaus and Elijah stood on the sidewalk watching outside the compound

"Hayley has agreed to return home to us... with her own free will." Klaus told Elijah "When Mikael is truly gone, do you think then I'll find peace?" He asked
