Chapter 29: Curse

The smell of something metallic and the sound of water dripping woke the senses of a certain curly-haired woman. Dizziness took over her sight as she tried to open her eyes only to perceive darkness. She feels the hard floor beneath her as she tries to move her hands and feet, only to feel handcuffs, keeping both of her hands together.

"Hmmmffff!!" She tries to speak only to taste something metallic and weird within her mouth. She also feels something sticky inside her mouth, keeping her from speaking.

"Dina?! Is that you?" She hears her friend who spoke from behind her. She tried to squirm to make her feel her presence. Since she couldn't speak, all she does is groan.

"Why aren't you speaking? Are you alright?" Again, she groaned in response.

"I don't understand you. Just tell me where you are!" For the third time, she responded with a grunt.

"What's happening? Where are we? My...my eyes hurt, Dina. I can't see anything." She heard her friend whimper. She is as confused as her friend. She simply cannot remember anything, how they ended up in here and what happened. She hears her friend who started crying. Thus, she started moving and finally, her hands behind her reached a certain pair of hands.

All of a sudden, all the lights flickered open blinding the curly haired woman named Dina.

She allowed her eyes to adjust to the lights, but when she finally saw everything, she almost wished she didn't.

"Hmmmmmmmfffgggg!! Hmmmmmm!!!" She let out a loud muffled scream when she saw...her boyfriend and their friends lying on the floor, all out cold and dead. All of their three friends and her boyfriend; all have a hole in their heads and multiple slashes on different parts of their bodies. She couldn't help but cry silently as she looked around seeing such a disgusting sight before her eyes. As she turned her head behind her, she saw a gruesome state of her friend, Shei. And what she saw is enough to make her puke everything.

"Dina? Dina, is that you? Where are you? I can't see you!"

"Hmmmffff!! Hmmmgggggghhh!" She cried in response, while looking at her friend. Shei, in the same state as her except... her eyes are hand sewn. Multiple emotions washed over her: fear, disgust, anger, sadness, pity, and despair. 

She wants to scream. 

She wants to run.

She wants to live.

"Dina, you're scaring me! What's going on?!" Her friend asks as if she could answer.

'You don't have your eyes. While I cannot speak!'  is what she wants to say but sadly, she couldn't since her mouth has been forced shut.

"I see you girls have woken up." Dina automatically turned to the direction where someone just spoke. She hears footsteps from a pair of shoes. From the door that she assumes as the exit, she sees a man walking towards them.

"Who are you?! What do you want from us?" She speaks as she too hears the man walking towards them. Dina, on the other hand, cannot do anything but look at the man with tears in her eyes.

"Hello there, lil' kitties~" The man says as he paused when he's in front of the two girls who are now seating beside each other. He looked down on the two first, most especially to Dina who can see how his emerald eyes are shining coldly on her.
