Chapter 8: Eavesdropping

"Tokyo Manji Gang" he looked rather blank upon the realization. He has long forgotten about the name of the first gang led by Mikey and created by Keisuke Baji.

"I knew it." he spoke then went back to the first two photos where the girl is with the young boy with brown eyes and black hair.

"So you're connected to Keisuke Baji, huh, Doctor?" he giggled lightly and started to walk upstairs. 

He opened the door and what welcomed him was a quiet, cozy yet serene space. Something that the man himself has forgotten. He slowly walked around the second floor. From time to time, he would touch the neat things around. The place was well-maintained and calming, too good for Sanzu's taste. The man had been into different rooms of his women. But he had never once encountered a place such as this.

The man's thoughts were disrupted when he felt a presence outside. He ran to the window which is parallel to the main entrance of the clinic. There, he saw the doctor walking towards the clinic with her bag and a paper bag. He immediately recognized what was inside the paper bag, it is his clothes. But he had no time to linger on that, he sprinted back to the bed and pretended to be asleep.

He felt the woman's presence walking near him, he lightly tapped his gun hidden underneath his blanket. However, what he felt was a warm hand on his forehead.

"Seems like your fever has gone down, Sir." Fever? So that's was why he was feeling a bit weak when he woke up.

The man started to feel a bit anxious when the doctor didn't move an inch near him. She even sat beside his bed. What if she noticed that he's just pretending? The man thought quietly.

Suddenly, the woman stared at him intently. Sanzu tried so hard to calm his breathing. He must not react to anything.

However, his soul almost flew out of his body when he felt the woman's breathing on his right cheek.

"What did you do to get these scars, Sir?" The young doctor continued to stare at him. The gesture was making the man uncomfortable. The question irked him even more. 

Meanwhile, Sanzu got even more surprised when she said...

"Such beautiful man." Surprise would be an understatement to what Sanzu was feeling right then. His scars are his worst insecurity. The women who made a move on him and even those who slept with him are mostly disgusted and scared of him because of his scars. But the woman in front of him, talking to his sleeping figure, said that he is beautiful. 

What a strange woman, he thought.

Shortly after, a knock was heard from the door, making the woman sprint towards it and left him alone. Slowly, he opened his eyes. He slowly readied his gun. He removed its safety lock and then slowly walked near the door.

"It seemed like...I'm not as welcome as Kazutora, huh?" was all he heard from a man. The voice was familiar, so Sanzu listened more closely.

"It's not like that...It's just..." he heard the woman's voice. Seemed like the two outside are having a bit of drama.

"...I have a patient inside." This irked the pink-haired man. He pointed the gun at the door, the exact position of the woman. He plans to shoot the woman right there when...

"He...He has a contagious disease so I cannot really allow just anyone to come in." was what he heard. That kind of shocked him. It didn't occur to him that she would protect him. It was a chance for her to report the criminal that she helped. Even if she doesn't knew who he is, it is common sense to call the police. Why hasn't she called the police?

Sanzu wasn't able to comprehend the following conversation of the two. Thus, he got a bit anxious so he went to the nearby window where he could peek of what was happening outside.

There, he was surprised to learn the identity of the man she was talking to. It was Chifuyu Matsuno, Keisuke Baji's vice-captain. Once again, he wasn't able to hear what the two just said. 

He, however, got a bit shocked to see him casually touching the doctor's hand and face. At that moment, what the two said to each other wasn't heard by Sanzu. He was just quietly looking of what was unfolding.

He saw Chifufyu walk away afterwards, leaving the woman...with a troubled expression.

Sanzu quietly stared at her face when she suddenly turned around. Thankfully, she turned to the other window. He took the chance to walk back to his bed.

After a few seconds, she heard the woman walk upstairs. He followed her sneakily. When he got to the second floor, he noticed that she was changing clothes with the door widely open. The man unconsciously looked away and hid in the comfort room.

After she was done changing, she walked to the kitchen and started preparing food. That made the man's stomach growl lightly. He sighed.

Truth be told, he was planning to let the woman live. He plans to leave when she's already asleep. In exchange for helping him and not snitching to her friend. He is unsure of what he thought last. However, his stomach disagrees. 

Besides, deep inside him, he was drawn towards the woman. Thus...

"Hello, doctor..."
