"Good job, Miyazaki-san."
"Thank you for your help as always, Risa-sensei."
"You're welcome. You know how happy I am to help our school's future doctor."
"Eh? Sensei. Please don't call me that. It's embarrassing."
A flustered 15-year-old brunette is in front of her adviser in the faculty room who just practiced her graduation speech which will occur on the following day. She is currently placed first out of all the graduating batch. As the first placer, she is given the opportunity to stand in front of everyone during the ceremony to give her Valedictory Address.
"Of course, we're claiming your success, Miyazaki-san. You're going to do well in Japan Metropolitan Academy."
Risa Minamoto is their class's adviser, one of the many teachers who believed in young Yukino back in their Junior High School. For the young, gray-eyed girl, the teacher is a woman who never failed to give her the boost she needs as a struggling student with no emotional support from parents.
"Well then, sensei. I'll be going on ahead now."
"Yes, Miyazaki-san. Good luck tomorrow." The brunette smiled and bowed before closing the door. The young Yukino walked in the relaxed hallway with students. The whole school is now preparing for the graduation the next day. She cannot help but feel happy knowing that she's finally a step closer to her dreams. Tomorrow, she marches towards her next journey.
"I made it, Mom. I hope you're here with me." She uttered as she looked up the skies by the window.
"You too, Kei-kun. Tomorrow would've been greater if you're with Chifuyu and I." she added.
As if awoken from her trance, she immediately remembered what she had to do and looked at her watch.
"Ah! He must still be waiting for me."
She practically ran towards the direction of the library where she's supposed to meet with someone.
A panting Yukino arrived at the quiet library. She entered its premises and started to look around. She assumed that the person who might be waiting for her has left already.
But as she was walking around the vast area, she finally sees someone asleep on the large table where they usually hang out and study together. Her lips formed a small smile. She silently walked closer and took her seat in front of the person who was sleeping soundly with his right cheek on the table. He is sleeping so soundly that his snores were not able to conceal itself in the silent wide room.
"I might have taken my sweet time that you fell asleep here."
She rested her palms under her chin and continued to look at him. His slightly opened mouth, snoring, and even his messy hair all looked adorable in the eyes of the young maiden in love. That's right. Currently, the young brunette likes her close friend, loyal to her best friend and family, and that is none other than Chifuyu Matsuno.
She raised her hand and touched the man's soft blonde strands. She gently ruffled it with a grin on her giddy face. She remembered how she made an oath to herself that is, if he and she both pass in their final year in junior high, she will confess her feelings towards the boy. Now, she is currently contemplating on how she's going to do that after the success of all their hard work.
For the past few weeks, she felt a connection between them. A connection that she couldn't explain. It's like they are magnetic with one another. She felt like she is being drawn towards the boy she thinks is so oblivious of her feelings. But deep inside, she may have an assumption that he may feel the same.
