Chapter 101: The Wedding in Paradise

A long beeping sound continued to fill a certain brunette's ears for several hours now. Ever since she found out that she has become the target of Paradiso, she suddenly got overwhelmed with both fear and anxiety. Not only for herself, but to all the doctors who will be coming this week to Spain for their 'three-month schooling program.'

Hence, she is trying to connect to anyone in Japan to warn them of the real intentions of Ira Poderoso. Most especially that she is one of the main reasons why they might be in danger if they truly go. Ever since last night, she couldn't sleep while thinking about her fellow doctors who were only manipulated by the scheming boss of Paradiso.

But no one is answering her calls. Not the CEO. Not Doctor Souma. Not Ria Hanami. No one does. Thus, her worries continue to escalate.

Her thoughts are cut when she felt someone tap her shoulder.

"Are you okay, Yukino-san?" she looks at the woman's pair of green eyes, looking at her with worry.

"I'm fine, Sarina-chan. Thank you." She answers the long black-haired woman 

"They told us to wear our gowns since the ceremony will start soon." The other female said which made her nod.

"Okay."

It's 3 o'clock in the afternoon and they are now getting ready to attend a special event: Takeomi Akashi and Mitsuki Kagami's Wedding.

"Yukino-chan, are you okay?" This time, she turns to the woman of the hour, the bride, who is wearing an elegant white gown.

"Yes, I'm fine, Mitsuki-san." She tries to sound sincere, but seems like it's not getting across anybody this afternoon.

"Are you sure? I can see how pale you are even underneath the makeup." She feels the bride lightly squeezing her hands when she said that. But she also feels how cold the other woman's hand is despite the warm sunrays in the afternoon.

"Yes, I'm okay. What about you? Are you okay? Your hand is cold." The brunette replied while holding the bride's hand. A pair of burgundy orbs eyed her kindly before giving her a warm and gentle smile.

"It's because I'm nervous." Yukino got a bit surprised when she heard that. She doesn't quite understand the reason behind it.

"Why are you nervous?" she asks seriously which solicited another smile from the beautiful bride. Her light makeup enhanced her beauty in ways that she is so unparalled to anyone in the beautiful Maldives. 

"I waited for this moment all my life, Yukino-chan." When she said that, her eyes sheened even more beautifully.

"It has always been my dream to marry the love of my life." This time, she turns to female doctor.

"You can say that I'm so happy my knees are shaking." She giggled even more when she admitted that to Yukino, one of her secondary sponsors, who kind of felt warm on the inside while listening.

"I can't believe that it's finally happening." Seeing this woman smile on her most special day, it gives the brunette a feeling of happiness and excitement as well.

That's when she realized that she cannot ruin this day because of her constant worrying. For this bride. And so, she inwardly swore to herself that she will fret about her burdens first thing in the morning tomorrow. For now, she wants to celebrate this woman's special occasion that only happens once in a lifetime.
