"That would be all." Yukino continued to look at the eatery where a certain long-haired man took her. It's already around three o'clock in the afternoon when they left the university. They had already processed some of his papers to become officially enrolled. On Monday, he is expected to start attending classes.
Now, he decided to treat her in an eatery that serves homemade meals. He wanted to get back to her in his own way.
"I understand, Sir. Your order coming right up." The waitress smiled and walked towards their kitchen.
"You're gonna love it here, Yukino. They serve the best." He commented which made the female nod in anticipation. Then, her eyes roamed around the quiet and tranquil place that smelled like plum and cherry blossoms.
"It's relaxing here, Kazutora-kun. How did you discover this place?"
"When I took my admission exam, this is where I ate my lunch. I plan to take you here today for lunch, but you know, various things happened." The man replied and sipped water.
"Well, I'm just glad everything ended well."
"Yeah, about that, Yukino. Thank you for standing up for me."
With this, the woman turned to meet eyes with the man whose ears are now beaming red.
"You were...really cool earlier." He added and then looked away.
"Dealing with that asshole and...everything you said about me to the dean. I appreciate it so much." Kazutora isn't really the expressive type, yet today, he felt the need to voice out his gratitude to the woman who didn't think twice in defending him and his past deed. However, he couldn't bear to look at her straight in the eye. It's all because his heart has been pounding ever since they were in the office. It is taking his all trying to control his emotions which is wanting to burst out.
"Don't mention it, Kazutora-kun."
As soon as he heard that, he raised his face again to meet eyes with her. He didn't even realize that he was looking down earlier.
But then, as he looked at her, he sees her smiling to him from ear to ear. It was the most beautiful smile he had ever seen from her.
"Although I'm not that cool. You were the cool one earlier, you know." She added while trying to scratch the back of her head.
"Huh?"
"When that Ayato guy was already talking down on you, you managed to stop yourself from punching him. That was a mature move." She, again, gave him a sincere smile.
"I really thought you would punch him the way you did to that 'Leo' guy back in Ishigaki." She joked, which made the long-haired man scoff.
"If he isn't some VIP in the university, I wouldn't even blink an eye and kick his ass." He replied which made the woman chuckle. Even that sounded divine to his ears.
"Now that sounds very Kazutora-kun of you." She responded while still giggling. Meanwhile, he only put his palm under his chin admiring the ball of sunshine in his life.
"But it's a good thing I didn't since I get to see you slap him hard. It was so satisfying." He replied which made the woman's sweat drop.
"That's... I tried to control my strength. It was his fault for calling you names." She replied while fidgeting.
Damn it, how could she be so adorable? Kazutora thought to himself.
