Connecting The Dots

I head back down to see that Iruma managed to successfully free Nafra, and the two(well, 3 but the creature isn't there anymore) are heading further into the cave.

After going through many traps, narrow passageways and tricky rooms, we make it to the entrance of a temple. Iruma and Nafra are very excited, but I'm not.

The aura from whatever's in that room is huge and pretty intimidating, even to me... will we be ok?

We go in, and a pinecone looking thing is on a pedestal.

As Iruma picks it up…

The door closes behind us and a giant golden hand breaks in and sweeps across half of the floor, almost hitting us.

We managed to dodge it, but we can now see the full top half, and it's a giant.

"...Thoth, do you know 'First Love Memories'?"

…Hm?

"Ha-!? What is that? A story?"

HOW DOES HE KNOW ABOUT THAT SERIES!? THAT'S A HUMAN THING!

Iruma and Nafra proceed to act out the story from Volumes 1 through 10.

Shockingly, I greatly enjoy it. Both have talent. And Iruma has Rin's voice down to a cinch... It's like he's practiced it.

The most shocking part, though, is Thoth seems to really like it. He looks really invested in the story, and he ends up giving Iruma the pinecone thing, which he called the 'Seed of Beginnings'.

You know what?

I'm probably just being overly dramatic about this whole thing. Maybe First Love Memories does exist here!

There's absolutely no way that THE Iruma's a human.

We head back, thanks to directions from Thoth, and wind up in an underground canyon.

There's a doorway on the other side, presumably the exit. We start heading there, when…

Iruma stops dead in his tracks.

What's wrong, Iruma?

…Oh.

…It's Orobas. He's here.

Trauma, definitely. Iruma looks more nervous than scared though... I can't help but wonder what he's seeing.

I look around, but I don't see him. That other person's with him, too. The same presences from before are here.

Does Orobas know the other guy? Where are they? Why can't I pinpoint their location?

I use a presence checking spell, and realize that there's some sort of dark creature in front of Iruma. It's currently purely mental, though, so it can't be seen to the naked eye.

Do I know anything that can fight against it? I guess Aura Manipulation could work, but I've never used it against non-tangible

"AGYAAGYIUII!"

I snap back to reality. Iruma's falling off of the cliff.
