(A/N: I'M BACK PEOPLE THANK YOU SO SO MUCH FOR BEING PATIENT AND AMAZING READERS! All of my final projects for the school year are starting which is sad but I really love this book and fandom! We're also getting close to me writing Okami's wicked phase which I'm SUPER excited for :D RIGHT ALSO IM POSTING THIS ON 6/6)

"...So, why was I called here?" I ask, gazing at the nervous expressions of almost every Magitools Batra member, plus some really tall guy that I've never seen before.

"Well... we need to ask a favor of you," Iruma replies. "A big one. Do you remember when you calmed down Gaap-kun during the Heartbreaker?"

My eyes widen.

Weren't the cameras off!?

"...Where did you hear that?" I inquire, fidgeting with my ring.

"Murmur-sensei," Asmodeus answers. "He mentioned you're likely the only one other than Beem-senpai who could look at Galna without feeling the effects. And then Sabnock mentioned that there's a chance you'd be able to help us."

I assume by 'Beem-senpai' they mean the tall demon I don't recognize?

"That... checks out," I mutter. "But what exactly do you want me to do?"

"I need you to help me look at Galna and repaint it, so that everyone can look at it!" Silvia pleads. "The world, or at least the school, needs to see this art!"

I can see the desperation in her eyes...

They really want to do this, huh?

"So... let me get this straight," I reply. "Galna is a painting, one that's so horrific, similar to Gaap-kun's other form, that you can't look at it without going bonkers. You want me to help Sabnock-chan look at it without going bonkers, using the method that worked during the Heartbreaker?"

"That's right," Iruma nods. "Can you do it?"

"Well," I mutter. "It's not like I can really lend my eyesight. And the real thing that worked for Gaap-kun was calming him down with... oh."

...So my choices are:

1, use angel magic on Silvia.

2, use angel magic on a painting.

Not exactly great choices, especially since I barely understand how it works myself.

Sure, things worked out during the Heartbreaker, but...

"I'm sorry, I don't know if I can," I admit. "Especially with Sabnock-chan's safety in mind, the likelihood that what worked for me working for her is less than the chance it'll hurt her. I've never done something like that before, and to be frank I'm still figuring out how exactly it works. So I'm not sure if I can guarantee-"

"Please, you have to try!" Silvia interrupts. "I don't care if there's a risk, this is something I just have to do! Please, Senpai, help me!"

...Argh, I just don't know...

"...I can try to figure something out," I agree, turning to Silvia. "But I can't guarantee anything, okay? Again, this might end up hurting you more than it'll help."

"That's okay!" She smiles. "Thank you so much."

Okay, umpteenth time's the charm cause I've lost track!

Adjusting my grip on the pair of detection warding glasses in my hands, I close my eyes and attempt to use the magic on it.
