Finally! That took way longer than it should've!
I run up the last few steps to see Camui on the ground in front of Professor Momonoki.
"That took almost 3 minutes… pretty impressive. But it's over now."
Shit!
I run, grab Camui, and bolt behind the first years, putting a barrier around us all.
That should hold her off.
"Okami!" Joha exclaims.
"Sorry it took me so long!" I turn to Asmodeus's team. "Asmodeus is doing fine, too, if you're wondering."
They both smile in relief.
"Good to know!" Sabro's sister says.
As Momonoki attempts multiple different magic against my barrier, I go through what I have in Infinite Void.
"Dammit, I don't have anything to heal him…" I mutter.
And this barrier won't hold foreve-
Suddenly, it shatters, cutting off my thoughts.
Okay, that was too fast! What setting is my ring on? …Crap! It's way too low!
Mana Output: Level 5.
But then… How did I do that thing with Gaap?
Whatever it was I did, I don't think a low level spell would've calmed him down.
Could it be…
No, that's impossible.
I mean, why would I be able to do it now, of all times?
"A weak barrier like that never had a chance of lasting long."
Well, out of thinking time!
I run to the opposite side of the room and put up another barrier around them.
"I might not be that strong, but I can evade attacks well enough." I smile.
"Oh really? Let's test that!" She smirks, powering up an attack.
I manage to avoid each of the blows she sends my way.
I just need to keep this up until the gauge is full! How far along are they?
I take a quick peek and sweat.
Not very fast… wait.
After realizing, my eyes frantically search the room.
Where the hell's Camui!?
His teammates seem to have realized too.
"Where's he- AH!"
A beam narrowly passes by my arm.
Shoot, I let myself get distracted!
Wait…
That should've hit me…
I look up and see why it didn't.
"I'm not… done… yet…"
Camui has attached himself to Momonoki's leg as she tries to shake him off.
WHAT THE HELL?
She finally shakes Camui off, and he's sent flying.
