This is annoying... Good thing no one knows I was there.
Everyone's talking about it. Which is fair, the Deviculum was a huge deal thanks to a certain sparky asshole, but it's not exactly a fun topic for me. Nothing related to Atori, Kiriwo or Baal is ever fun.
Not only that, I've got my own problems to deal with, such as moving.
I decided that my location wasn't safe anymore, so I'm currently in the process of using magic to store all my stuff, and finding a more permanent and ideally somehow even more secluded area to live in.
I slept through my alarm this morning, though, so there isn't much progress on that yet...
I spot a familiar blonde towering figure holding a copy of the paper, so I hurry over.
"Hey, Sabro!" I greet him. "Mind if I take a peek at the newspaper?"
He nods, smiling smugly for some reason, and gives it to me as we walk.
Aw, dang it. It almost exclusively talks about Baal...
There's a little on the music too, but mainly him. Ugh.
Anyways!
"Thanks. What's gotten you into a good mood?" I ask, handing it back.
"I shall show you!" He flips to the front cover, with a large photo of Baal on top of Behemolt in his fake moment of glory, holding the hilt of the spear in one hand and Princess Shura in the other.
"...Yeah, what about it?" I ask, doing my best to sound like I don't detest the guy Sabro's so excited about for whatever reason.
"He is my uncle!" He states proudly.
I choke on my saliva and start coughing.
HIS WHAT!?
I mean, it does explain the similarities I noticed, but WHAT!?
"Are you okay?" He asks as I stop coughing.
"Yup! Just choked on my saliva, hehe. Your uncle, though! That's interesting, you being related to a h- ... he- ...h- ...member of the 13 Crowns!"
I can't even bring myself to call him a hero...
"Yes, although both my rival and Asmodeus are too."
"That's true, that's true..."
"Though really, are you alright?"
"Never better! Why do you ask- ow."
I accidentally bump into a wall.
"You're normally very aware of your surroundings," Sabro points out, "are you sure you're okay?"
"I'm fine! A little tired is all." I wave it off as we enter the Royal One.
.
.
.
"Iruma!! Are you alright...!?"
I join the crowd around the Irutrio.
"Are you hurt anywhere!?"
"It must've been terrifying!"
"I'm-I'm fine!" Iruma replies, though to my surprise he does actually seem perfectly fine.
"I was so shocked when I heard the news!"
"Astounding!"
"How do you always end up at the center of every big incident?"
