5:24 AM
Having drifted off to sleep due to slight exhaustion the night before, Okami sleeps peacefully unaware that something has changed.
That is, until her alarm abruptly interrupts her sleep.
Okami's eyes slowly open, her hand feeling around to find her phone and tap the button to stop the noise. Finally finding the screen, she taps on it multiple times until the noise stops, not looking over at the phone once. Satisfied, she closes her eyes and closes her eyes again, snuggling into her blanket. She can't fall asleep, though, as one tiny little thought plagues her mind.
Do I usually act like this?
5:30 AM
Okami's eyes snap open, and she immediately gets out of bed, zooming through her morning routine.
"I'm going to be late! I'm going to be late!! School starts at 6:06 and if I don't get ready soon I'm screwed!"
She snaps her fingers, expecting to form a small sphere of light.
But it doesn't appear.
Confused and stopping in her tracks, she snaps her fingers over and over again in an attempt to get it to work.
Nothing.
5:36 AM
"DAMMIT! Why isn't it working!? Stupid magic!" Okami yells, grabbing her hair in frustration. "And I have to be at school soon, too! Ugh, this is the least of my problems right now!!"
5:42 AM
"...You know what? I shouldn't be worrying about this," she says, taking a deep breath. "...I'm okay! Everything's fine!"
5:48 AM
"Nothing is fine, we're all going to die," Okami sobs into her pillow. "I'm going to die. Alone. Because I can't bring myself to confess my stupid love. That's why I have no family."
5:54 AM
"...Ah, whatever," Okami eventually says, making a portal. "Let's just go!"
Stepping through, Okami walks to school, trying but continuously failing along the way to use her magic.
"C'mon, why won't it...?"
"Morning," Soi says suddenly from beside her, causing Okami to jump.
"Ah! Didn't see you there, hi!" She exclaims.
"...Are you okay?" He asks.
"Of course I am! Why?"
"You're always really aware of your surroundings unless something's bothering you. I wasn't even using my Bloodline Ability."
"Oh. ...Well, I'm doing just fine! No need to worry-"
6:00 AM
"..."
Soi stares at her for a moment in shock.
"What- huh...?" Okami starts, but quickly stops after realizing her voice sounds a little different.
Soi quickly activates his Bloodline Ability, suddenly nervous.
"How do I say this... Okami-san, you..." Soi starts.
Okami takes a bit of her hair in her hand and stares at it.
"Oh," she mutters. "Purple. That's not good."
