Iruma's trying out the piano. It's safe to say that…
He needs more lessons.
I plugged my ears without even realizing it halfway through his attempt.
"...Iruma…" I start.
"...You suuuuuuuuuuuck." Soi finishes.
Not how I was gonna word it, but oh well.
Even with Sabnock teaching him, Iruma isn't doing very well. He is very determined, though.
"It's useless! I'm gonna go ask Sabnock for help again!"
Soi goes with him.
I stay behind to try my hand at this piano. I bow to it, then sit down. The piano transforms into a classical one, something I'm used to.
"What should I play..." I mutter to myself. "Ooh! I know..."
"Where are the others?"
Just as I'm about to play, Kalego appears by the door, startling me. I spin myself around on the bench to face him.
"They went to get Sabnock for advice, they'll be back soon."
"He's busy at the moment, Crocell asked me to teach you three your instruments."
"O-oh."
Oh no.
I can't take another strict music teacher! I barely survive one session with Uncle every once in a while! I'm gonna die!
When Soi and Iruma come back, the look of terror on their faces match mine internally.
"You're late." he says. "Sit your asses down, amateurs."

.
"Legato. Smoother. Smoother. Quattro."
"Incorrect fingering! Do it the way I showed you, fool!"
I feel incredibly awkward as I sit and watch.
"And what are you doing?" He asks, finally turning his attention to me.
"There's… only one piano. I figured since I'm more experienced, I should wait until he's got it down."
"Crocell never mentioned you being experienced."
"That's because I never got the chance to tell her."
"Heh! Yeah, right. Iruma, get off."
Kalego should know better by now. I don't lie!
…
Ok, maybe I'll tell a little fib every now and then…
Maybe a little more often than that...
But those don't count! No one necessarily asks about them after all, it's just stuff I hide!
Iruma looks very grateful, although worried for me.
As I sit down, the piano once again turns into a simple grand piano. I, again, decide to play that song, only this time I can actually play it.
As I'm playing it, I realize 3 things.
I never told Soi I can play the piano. He was in the closet when Uncle came by, and he had noise cancelling headphones on for the second worst case scenario.
The other one is that someone's humming along. I only noticed it later through the song, but he is. It's possible whoever it is just likes the music. And the last one:
Kalego hasn't said anything.
That one's the most surprising. With how tough he looked with them, I was certain he'd be a second Poro, where the music has to be perfect down to the decibel.
