Chapter 30

"How is she?" Mum asked. I looked at mum not knowing what to say.

"Sweetheart what's wrong!" She said rushing over to me as I broke down in tears. I closed my eyes as she hugged me tightly.

"I looked online and there's a video of Talon.." I said. Mum looked at me confused. Jake came in and noticed I was upset and he continued to look after Auria whilst I went to talk to Mum.

"Is it about you?" Mum asked.

"The daily gossip have ruined everything" I say. Now I have calmed down I can explain everything.

"I noticed they had found out about the story" mum sighed. Quickly I turned on my laptop and opened up the link everyone was sending me, and showed mum.

"I feel like I should talk to him" I explain.

"Hmmmm"

"Mum what do I do?" I ask.

"I'm not sure sweetie, it might be best talking to him but then he might be making a story to cover up what he's done" mum explained to me. I nod.

"But he's not the sort of person to tell a lie like that" I say.

"He may not be the person to lie but he's the person to cheat" mum moaned.

"But this could all be Cath's fault" I say. Mum sits back in her chair thinking about it all.

"Maybe you should talk to him then, hear his story one last time and see where you stand from now on" mum says with a smile. I smile back at her.

"Anyway what did you say about school?" I asked sitting up.

"Oh yes, I spoke to them saying how you don't feel safe and what's happened" mum started to explain.

"And what did they say?" I asked.

"They said that when you go back to school they will have a conversation with you and try and sort things out but if you want to move school they can send me school work to do till we find you a new school" mum finally finished.

"Do I have to make my decision now?" I say. Mum shakes her head.

"If corse not but think about it for me but don't get worried over it" mum says. I smile at her and shut down my computer.

"I'm going to go work tomorrow" I say.

"You sure you feel up to it?" Mum asks worried.

"Yeah take my mind of things anyway" I say. Mum nods with a smile and then goes through the door into Auria's room. I followed right behind her. Jake was sat in the chair holding her talking.

"How is she?" Mum asks.

"Good can't believe that's she's out sister" Jake laughs.

"Can I hold her?" I ask. Jake looks at me and smiles them hands me Auria. I hold her looking at her little face.

"She's so small" I whisper. Mum nods.

"She sure is" mum replays.

"How about me and Dan go grab us a takeaway for dinner?" Jake says giving me a look to say come.

"That would he lovely!" Mum smiles taking Auria back.

"What about her presents?" I ask.

"After dinner we will all sit down and look at them, as she's had a long sleep so she will be okay" mum explains.

"Okay sure I'll just grab my jacket" I say. I walk back into my room and pick up my jacket and phone. My phone came up with more of these notifications from my emails. Quickly I deleted them then hurried after Jake. I know why he was doing this he wanted to know what was wrong.

"So what's he done now?" Jake says as we get comfy in the car seat.

"It's hard to explain I'll show you when we get home" I smile.

"What is it you need to show me?" He asks. By now we were driving along a long road going past all the shops.

"A video, he posted online" I said.

"Why would he post it online?" Jake asked.

"To apologise and to stick up for me" I reply. As we pull into the car park Jake looks at me.

"Danni where is this going?" He asks worried.

"I want to talk to him Jake" I mumble. He raises and eyebrow confused.

"It was only the other day you wanted him out of your life for good!" Jake moaned.

"You'll understand when you see the video!" I moan back. He sighs and then we Jump Out the car and into a Chinese restaurant. Whilst Jake orders I turn on my phone.

*one message from sky*
Hey Dan hope your okay,
Only just seen the online gossip can't believe they are still going on about it after everything has happened. Anyway I texted because I need you to call me when your free have something to tell you.. It's about Cath

"It's going to be about ten minutes that okay?" Jake asked sitting beside me.

"The smell in here makes me to hungry, I need to call Sky I'll meet you in the car" I say smiling.

"Dan? What's going on?" He asks worried.

"Nothing she said something happened in the exam today she was going to tell me that's all" I lie. He nods and watched me walk back to the car. I dial her number and wait for her to answer.

"hello?" - me

"Hey Dan, did you get my text?" -sky

"Yeah I did, what's happened?" - me

"Marcus found out that Cath's coming back to school, she comes back Monday" - sky.

"What!" - me

"I know can't believe after what's she done she's going to show her face" - Sky.

"I can't believe this! Might be me that has to move" - me

"What do you mean Dan?" - Sky.

"Nothing don't worry, so anyway has anymore been said online?" - me

"I don't think so, I've even had a couple of emails come through apologising for you but can only get hold of me" - Sky.

"I really hate online gossip" - me.

"Yeah me two!" - Sky.

"Look i need to go, Jakes coming back and we need to get home to Auria" - me

"Oh my gosh I completely forgot I'm so sorry! How is she?" - Sky.

"She's good, I'll call you tomorrow thank you Sky"- me

The end calls and Jake jumps into the car. He puts the two bags filled wi h food by my feet and smiles.

"I'm sorry about moaning earlier" Jake said.

"It's fine you didn't do anything wrong" I smiled.

"So is Sky okay?" Jake asked as he drove away.

"Yeah she's fine" I reply.

We arrive home and Dad and Jake get the dinner ready whilst me and mum wait holding Auria.

"Why don't you put her down on her baby may whilst we eat dinner" mum suggests. I nod and carry Auria over there.

"I was looking online whilst you were out" mum says. I turn round once I had put Auria down and looked at her.

"And..?" I say sitting beside her.

"I've sent an email to online gossip"

"What?"I say confused but then Jake and Dad come in putting plates of food down.

"What, what?" Dad laughs.

"Oh nothing" I laugh back. He gives me a funny look and I start to eat.

"Well here's to the future! With Auria" mum says smiling. I nod and so does everyone else as we raise our drinks.
