Elaina was finally back in the castle, Aegon cried loudly in her arms as a wet nurse tried to pry him out of her arms. She sighed tiredly, but kept a hold of him and tried to calm him down.

"Let's give Her Grace some peace," The wet nurse said, as she finally took Aegon from his mother.

Elaina glared at the woman, seeing her child be manhandled away from cause Elaina to stand from her spot and move to take her son back into her arms. The door opened, causing the queen to take her attention away from her child and onto her father who stared at her with an unknown expression.

With the Queen's attention away from Aegon, the nurses took the opportunity to whisk him out of the room, leaving Elaina and Otto alone.

Elaina glared at her father, her face slightly aching from yesterday's events. She had thanked the Gods that only a small bruise under her right eye was visible, so it would be easier for her to cover it up with her hair or makeup.

Elaina moved to sit back down in her lounge chair, not bothering to look back at her father who bowed to her in greeting. Their silence ate them whole, as the room's only noise came from flickering candles surrounding them.

"Did you enjoy the hunt, Your Grace?" Otto questioned, glancing around the room.

"Well enough," Elaina muttered, not bothering to make an effort to their conversation.

"How fared my grandson?" He questioned again.

Elaina rolled her eyes at the question, not even trying to mask her annoyance with her father anymore.

"Why would you care? You haven't spent a moment alone with him, like the grandfather you should be," Elaina said, snapping at her father. Her hands rubbed against her stomach, in hopes the babe's kicking would distract her.

Otto narrowed his eyes at his daughter, not favoring her tone of voice, but backed down assuming that it was all just the pregnancy hormones that were making her act like this. He glanced down at her stomach, hoping that she would birth another son for the king so their succession would continue on strong.

"He's the future of the realm, you yourself witnessed the scale of the celebration and how it's united the men. When you bore the King a son, you ended fifteen years of uncertainty and doubt. Aegon, like his namesake, was born to rule the Seven Kingdoms," Otto said, his words digging deep within Elaina's mind.
