"There is power, in her blood,"

Aegon stood closer to the steps leading up to the Iron Throne, where his mother, Queen Elaina Targaryen sat in the absence of the monster he calls father.

Watching his mother in awe, seeing her authority reign down on those below them. Her power radiated like the burning sun. Yet, the audience stared at her, their eyes unwavering from her beauty.

Elaina turned her attention away from the piercing pair of eyes on her, and onto her children who stood next to one another closely. Her heart beamed with warmth, as her old dream came true. Her children, albeit not all, were finally home.

Aegon smiled at his mother, reassuring her that she was doing a great job. His eyes darted across from him, where his grandfather stood stiff, staring daggers at his mother. Aegon glared sharply at the old man, hoping that he turns to see the burning hatred he held for him.

From slightly behind them, Alicent stood gracefully with beauty with her husband Lucien standing next to her protectively.

Her dear sister held onto her stomach with love, as it swelled. Alicent and Lucien were finally with a babe, and Elaina would do anything to ensure they were safe and happy.

Elaina's eyes drifted toward a beastly man, standing close to her family. A man she's gotten closer to in the many years she's been alone. Cregan Stark sent his queen a mischievous smirk, causing the queen to blush before turning away instantly from being flustered.

The Northerner's smirk widens at her reaction, finding the soft smile playing on her lips to be one of the most beautiful things he's ever seen.

With her attention now focused on the crowd, she stands from her seat and glazes her eyes over the audience.

It lands on Rhaenyra, then Daemon, Jace, and Luke. Her plain-featured grandchildren stared at her with either fear or uncertainty. Her eyes then traveled toward her old friend, Princess Rhaenys, and her grandchildren Baela and Rhaena.

The twins had understood their grandmother figure and realized who she was. Their mother loved her mothers, unconditionally.

The very woman who sat upon the Iron Throne was the same woman that Laena Velaryon spoke so highly of and that one day she would see her mother again.

"Though this with the great hope that Lord Corlys Velaryon survive his wounds, we gather here with the grim task of dealing with the succession of Driftmark. As Queen, I speak my husband's voice on this and all other matters. The crown will now hear the petitions," Elaina said, as she nods her head toward Rhaenys to hopefully reassure the woman.

The crowd waits patiently, their eyes landing on Vaemond Velaryon who made his way toward the middle front of the room.

"Ser Vaemond of House Velaryon," Elaina stated, she nodded her head. Letting the man know he was able to start.
