"I am queen, and yet you claim I am not when you do not have my crown on your head,"

Elaina sat in her seat at the dinner table with poise, on her right sat Alicent who spoke softly to her talking about the names she had come up with for the baby. Lucien and Cregan had not attended as they had matters to attend to.

"Mother, where's grandsire?" Daeron asked, tilting his body forward a bit to catch his mother's attention as he sits on the right of Alicent.

"He will not be joining us, family is only allowed," Elaina simply answered, sending her son a smile.

Aegon, Aemond, and Helaena smirked and snickered hearing her answer. Rhaenyra and her family shifted in their seats, glancing between the Hightower family.

Delicious food was set in front of them, Alicent nibbled on a piece of fruit she had found as she rubbed her stomach. Elaina sent her sister a soft smile, ignoring the burning gaze of Daemon on her.

The door suddenly opens, and the group stands quickly as Viserys staggers into the room with the help of his knights.

The family waits until he is seated in between Elaina and Rhaenyra, his breathing unsteady.

"How good it is... to see you all tonight... together," Viserys said, glancing around the table to look at every face intently.

"Prayer before we begin?" Elaina said although it sounded like a question to seem like she considered her husband's opinion.

"Yes," Viserys grasped.

"May the Mother smile down on this gathering with love. May the smith mend the bonds that have been broken for far too long. And to Vaemond Velaryon, may the gods give him rest," Viserys nodded his headly slowly, waiting for Elaina to finish.

"This is an occasion for celebration, it seems. My grandsons, Jace and Luke, will marry their cousins Baela and Rhaena, further strengthening the bond between our houses. A toast to the young Princes... and their betrothed," Viserys said, as everyone raised their cups.

Elaina glances at the twins, sending them comforting smiles, seeing Baela grit her teeth and Rhaena softly smiling.

The girls seemed to show similar yet opposite emotions on their matter, as Rhaena was glad she would be able to spend her life with someone who would at least treat her with respect.

Baela hated every proposal with her every being, not wanting to be tied down with a man and bore him babes at such a young age.

Baela did not want to end up like her mother.

"Well done, Jace. You'll finally get to lie with a woman," Aegon whispered toward Jace, who almost spat his cup of wine out.

Baela heard, glaring at his niece who winked at her jokingly. Letting her know that he was only meant to bully his nephew.
