"I will not subject my son to the throne,"

Princess Rhaenys Targaryen sat silently next to a bed that occupied the very woman who had become the second mother to her children and a friend over the years.

The Targaryen woman had been the one to keep watch over the Queen, while her majesty's sister calms the children. After the events hours before, Rhaenys had been on edge ever since.

The heir to the Iron throne was not fit to be the heir, and as much as Rhaenys wanted to claim what was rightfully hers. She had moved long past it, years ago.

The realm needed a Queen, a good queen. A queen who will listen to their people, yet stand in front of them when needed for battle. Rhaenys believes that Elaina is a good queen, if only she was born Targaryen she would have been made for the throne.

Elaina shifted in her spot, her body moving slightly. Rhaenys' eyes widen a bit, seeing the injured woman awake already. It would take much more for Elaina Hightower to be brought down. She is, after all, The Queen Mother.

"Your Grace," Rhaenys said, hoping to wake Elaina further.

After a moment of silence, Elaina's eyes crept open slowly, letting the colors of the world surround her once again. Her hazel brown eyes landed on the silver-haired princess, the mothers, and long friends smiled softly at one another.

"Rhaenys, please, we have been friends for so long," Elaina croaked out, her throat sore and scratchy.

Elaina attempted to sit up, but to her luck, her body was only aching a little. Rhaenys quickly rose to help her and hand her a cup of water. The queen ungracefully gulped down the liquid, but she did not care.

"Thank you," Elaina said, coughing to clear her throat.

Rhaenys nodded her head and watched the woman carefully as if expecting her to fall unconscious once more. Elaina sighed, worried that her husband has done something to Aegon. Her sweet boy, her son, who just wanted to protect his mother.

"Where are the children?" Elaina asked quietly, her energy still low yet her face held nothing but worry for her babies.

Rhaenys understood her worry, as they cared deeply for their children. Yet in her case, child. Elaina and herself would share in common the loss. Not only of the incident that happened years ago but as well as the events of today.

How many more of their children the Gods were going to take? And how long will it be when a mother snaps at her limit? Rhaenys questions the Gods.

"Lady Alicent are with them, keeping them at bay. Your children are quite protective, as they have every right to be," Rhaenys said, her words indicating the bruises on her arms.
