"Viserys..."

Elaina slowly brought herself down to sit next to a haggard-breathing Viserys, a king who struggled even to open his eyes.

The queen lifted his head slowly, bringing the cup of Milk of Poppy close to his lips. Her eyes were unbothered by the pained noises escaping his mouth.

Viserys calmed down a bit, recognizing Elaina's touch, and sipped from the cup slowly. Elaina watched as he gulped down the last bit of the drink, emptying the cup.

   "I'm sorry,"

Elaina paused for a moment, unsure what else to think of his words. The many years they have spent together, Elaina could not find it in herself to regain the sympathy she once had for the man. That was only the time when Queen Aemma was alive.

"Shh, rest now, Viserys," Elaina whispered, trying to get him to sleep faster.

"I'm sorry," Viserys said once more.

"But you wanted to know... If I believe it to be true," Viserys said.

"Believe what to be true?" Elaina asked the man quietly, trying to piece the little words together.

   "Don't you remember?"

A moment of silence passed through them.

   "Aegon..."

"My son?" Elaina asked, feeling her heart speed up at the mention of her firstborn. Worried at where Viserys was heading.

"His Dream. The Song of Ice... and Fi--... It is true. What he saw in the North... The Prince That Was Promised," Viserys struggled to say.

"I don't understand, Viserys," Elaina said, looking at her decaying husband in confusion.

   "The Prince," Viserys uttered.

"Prince Aegon?" Elaina asked, trying to clear up her confusion.

"To unite the realm against the cold... and the dark. It is you. You are the one. You must do this. You must do this,"

Elaina's eyes hardened, and her mind flurried with thoughts of his words.

"Yes, Princess Rhaenyra will take the throne and--"

"No!" Viserys coughed out, his breathing continuing to become more shallow.

"It... It is you, who must..." Viserys suddenly became a fit of coughs. Unable to finish his words.

Elaina shushed him softly, before getting off the bed and standing next to it. Her expression was blank, as she stared at the man.

Elaina made her way out of the room, not wanting to be near the silver-haired king any longer.
