"You're not as wise as I thought you were,"

"Ser Erryk, please escort Princess Rhaenys down to the Dragon pit," Elaina said, facing away from the knight.

Ser Erryk nodded his head, keeping his eyes on the queen. A man lay limp on the floor, a slow pool of blood stained across Elaina's rug and spots of blood across her furniture.

Elaina could sense the knight in her presence, as she stared at Larys Strong on the floor with cuts on his face.

Elaina's hands shook slightly, the adrenaline pumping through her. Taking a deep breath, she turned to face the knight with caution.

"The princess needs a guard as she rides for Dragonstone," Elaina elaborated.

"To Dragonstone, Your Grace?" Ser Erryk asked quietly, unsure if he heard her right.

"It is better that Princess Rhaenyra hears the news of her father passing from a member of the family, in hopes it won't cause more chaos than it already is," Elaina said, nodding her head softly at the knight who seemed to understand her words.

"Of course, I understand, Your Grace," Ser Erryk bowed, before turning to leave.

"Ser Erryk, please bring a guard here to take Lord Larys down in the dungeon," Elaina called out, causing Ser Erryk to swiftly turn around and nod his head, bowing once more before leaving.

Quickly soon after, two guards walked in bowing at the queen, before dragging Larys Strong down into the dungeons. Her eyes trailed after them until the door closed. Leaving her on her own.

Elaina's hands stop shaking, as she takes a seat on the couch with barely any blood visible on it. Her attention was now on the fireplace, as the sound of fire crackling through the night.

All she could remember was grabbing the knife from under the table and swiping it across Larys' face. All her anger built up had popped as soon as he finished his words.

What evidence did she have? None, but that didn't mean she didn't know the truth. One way, or another, the truth always comes out. No one would question why Larys had been injured and brought down to the dungeons.

All Elaina had to claim was he tried advancing toward her, a crime big enough to be punished severely. She wasn't wrong either, Larys had planned to do something to her. Elaina was just glad that she had stopped it beforehand.

A knock was heard before the person let themselves in. Elaina swiftly turned to see who entered her room without permission before her eyes met with familiar purple ones.

"Mother,"

"Aemond, my love, what is the matter?" Elaina asked, standing up slowly and meeting her son halfway.
