•Aegon had arrived in Kingslanding, his heart pounding aggressively in his chest as he made his way out out the dragon pit and into the castle.
Many servants and guards bow their heads at the sight of the crowned prince, finding his arrival unsurprising.
Aegon tried his best to nod his head back at them all, grateful that most of the servants were still loyal to his family. He would surely check with Ser Criston and Ser Erryk about anyone who has committed treason.
He would also need to see his grandsire, question him if he'd done anything with the events that had occurred.
Aside from all of the long list to do, one thing Aegon knew he needed to do first was check on his sister.
Aegon hoped she was holding herself up for a little bit for the children. He cursed at himself as he ran closer and closer to his mother's room, where Aemond had said Helaena had kept the children and herself.
Four guards had been stationed outside his mother's room, his shoulders releasing a bit of tension knowing that there were guards there before a pit of anger rose from his stomach, wanting to question Ser Criston why there wasn't any gaurds stationed at Helaena's door during the attack.
Moving past them without a second thought, Aegon barged into the room. He stops at the door for a moment, letting his eyes scan the room for his children and Helaena.
Silence greeted him, letting his mind spin in circles as he jumps into conclusions.
Aegon flinched slightly as a creeking noise was heard from his left, a sound of a window moving slightly as if the wind had pushed it open.
The prince followed the noise, as it led him into a small sitting room.
Aegon sighed in relief, seeing Helaena sitting at the window sill.
"Helaena—"
Aegon paused, watching his sister sit so close to the edge. His body tensed with worry, walking slowly toward her before stopping a couple feet away.
Helaena had her eyes closed, as she felt the sun beam down onto her face. The wind kissed her cheeks as it brushed through her unkept hair.
Aegon watched her for a moment. Letting Helaena bask in the peace she seemed to let herself be in.
"His body is prepared," Helaena muttered, her eyes still closed as she stayed still.
