"Choose..."

Elaina sighed tiredly, not fully understanding the riddled words her son had wrote but was relieved he was alright and was coming home.

Lucerys glanced between them, seeing the stressed but shagging shoulders as they finished reading the letter.

"He is alright, Mother. Daeron is coming home, and with something that could help us win," Aemond said, not caring that he was claiming Lucerys' family is going to lose the war.

Luke's brows furrowed in annoyance, regardless of what's happening he didn't want his family to get hurt. Hearing his uncle speak of war, made his blood boil.

"I will not lay the first hand down, when we have done nothing," Elaina stated.

"You know that Daemon would do everything just so he—"

"My son, please escort your nephew back to his room. It seems young Lucerys needs his rest," Elaina said, interrupting Aemond from continuing on.

Aemond glanced at his Nephew seeing the annoyed but worried look plastered onto his face. Aemond rolled his eyes at him but nodded his head.

Without another word, Aemond leans down to kiss his mother's head as she had gotten shorter as he grew.

Elaina smiled softly at him, before nodding her hesd at Luke who sent her an awkward smile then following Aemond who did not want to wait for him.

Elaina chuckled as she watched Luke huff out air in annoyance, trying to catch up to his uncle.

The Queen leaves her room right after them, making her way towards Helaena's room just as she promised her daughter.

Upon getting closer, shuffling was heard behind the doors. Muffled cries echoed out, causing Elaina's brows to furrow in confusion.

Where were the guards? They were meant to stand to guard Helaena's room. Panic began to seep through Elaina's body, as she quickly made her way through the door.

The sight before her cause her to gasp in shock, seeing Helaena be pinned down on the bed as her grandchildren cry out to their mother.

Helaena stuggled in the hold of the man on top of her. Her dress wrinkled and ruffed up as it seemed someone tried to take it off her.

Another man had the triplets in his arms, forcing them to watch their mother be tortured.

"Back away from my daughter!" Elaina commanded in anger.

Elaina had pulled out a small dagger from the sleeves of her dress, and pointed it at them.

The men grinned manically, continuing to hold onto their hostages.
